I thought we were going to be at a three star hotel but had to go to comfort in to eat and where was the conceirge the pool hours from 12;00 til 8;00 for the money we had spent was not acceptable with the amount of services or lack there of the shuttle to the metro was a big plus

Roomalways wereclean and well cared for. Breakfast staff was unfriendly. Hotel was very clean. Some staff helpful, some not so much. Management - with whom I spoke at the end of the stay was eager to have us return next year. Breakfast, it turns out, is catered by an external firm. They have no vested interest in being user friendly. Hotel shuttle was not consistent on schedule.

Well, it started off fine, everything looked ok, our vac was mainly for visiting dc so the location was actually pretty good only because theres a shuttle that takes you directly to the metro. the only prob with that is that he is late to pick u up at the shuttle everytime by at least 15 mins! The overall room appearance was bad, it looked like something out of the 70's the bathroom was small, and the tub was dirty. it looked clean at first but when turning the nobs to take a shower, there was dirt underneath, like they only cleaned what you would first see, also, altho we got fresh towels everyday, they smelled like maple syrup?! it was very strange, the housekeeping is not very clean at all. the continental bfast was awful , the juices or i guess thats what they were supposed to be didnt taste like juice at all.. i didnt feel very secure about at night either we constantly heard ppl outisde walkin around and talkin very loudly, also if someone had a room nxt to you , you will hear their water running and is very annoying at 4 am while trying to sleep. overall the hotel was a very bad experience, the only good thing was the bed was comfy and the location. as i stated in the title if you are considering staying here to save a few dollars DONT!! ITS NOT WORTH IT! i wish i would have spent a few extra dollars for something that would have been worth it!

hotel chambermaids were very nice and accommodating hotel manager not interested in hearing about problems or fixing or accepting responsibility for problems We requested exterminator, because of 1 1/2 inch water bug & small roaches & ants...also requested repair of door lock which was jamming...no evidence of any extermination was seen...door lock no longer jammed, but it wouldn't lock after it was repaired...parking lock concrete blocks had spikes sticking up which took off a plate on the bottom of the car...owner said this was not his problem - park at your own risk - however later that day all spikes were hammered down.

you get what you pay for or in this case you pay more then it's worth. the hotel is terrible, dirty and not kept up well. the staff was not interested in helping or listening to your complaints. most of the staff was rude. the breakfast is not great. i will never stay at this hotel again and i recommend that you keep looking if you are considering this place.

Internet was broken when we got there and staff could not have cared less. They first denied it, then admitted people had been complaining for a while. Then they said a manager was not available to talk too, they could not do anything about it, and they could not comp the room. There is a reason they call it a "service" business.

The hotel was great quality for a fair price. The front desk was helpful and friendly, continental breakfast good quality, and the room was clean and nice. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

A quiet clean place was what we needed and what we got.

The A/C and Heater worked. Coffee machine in room. Great bed. No possible way anyone larger than a small child could sit on the toilet. I hate hotel rooms that open to the outdoors. The bathroom was too small. I had to sit on the toilet sideways because my legs wouldn't fit under, the toilet paper roll protruding out above the seat. The wireless connection disrupted after about a minute of use. You had to spend a half hour trying to reconnect, usually to no avail. The TV was old and there were no premium channels. However, there was a coffee machine in the room, the AC/Heater unit was easy to set to a comfortable temperature and the bed was among the most comfortable I've used in a while. Overall, I wouldn't recommend, but it wasn't horrible.

The room also had a strange odor while the vents for the heat/ac had what appeared to be moldy dust. After arguing with the front desk our money was refunded in full. Something to note? While at the front desk they received 3 other complaints (1 was sparks from the bathroom light, another was strange sounds from the walls, and the last brown water and a backed up sink). Overall this is an old building that needs a wrecker. My recommendation ? Keep looking!

I booked the hotel for 6 of my family members who traveled to DC with our father who is a World War II veteran. He is now 88 years old and frequently has mentioned that he wished he could see the memorial. We thought the hotel was very good. Our rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was excellent with a big variety of choices. This hotel has shuttle service to the airport, a shopping mall where you can catch the Metro. When it was time for us to get to the airport, the manager got an additional shuttle to get us there on time. P. Harper

Not a thing. Everything. It was very outdated - no elevator, no microwave or refrigerator. Outside appearance needs work, it was depressing (and I was there to attend a funeral at Arlington National Cemetary); very drab I will not stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone - very disappointing.

We made plans to go the Inauguration in August after Obama won the Democratic Nomination. My brother and his wife were coming from Florida and we were coming from Missouri. What can I say we were excited! Because we booked so early the air and the room were priced very reasonably. The location from what i could see was just 10 minutes from downtown DC. Our stay was booked for Sun - Tues evening. In October we called to add and additional day. The representative for the Comfort Inn stated that we had to pay for the room in full in order to keep the room. We agreed and assumed our trip was paid in full. Upon our arrival to the small motel -- the agent states that we still needed to pay for the room, now double in price for 1 night! Of course we are in a different city some 4 months later and I'm unable to confirm that the room is paid for. We accept this because the trip is of historical significance. Right! The first day went well no problems. On the morning of the second day I notice a few ANTS in the bathroom. I figure that the house keeping tracked them in when cleaning. I kill the ANTS and we leave the room for a day of site seeing. Upon our return, there are several ANTS crawling in the bathroom. I report it to the front desk -- they inform me that the only thing they can do is discount the room 25% or we can move to a different hotel. It's Monday night, it is the largest gathering in inauguration history and we are not from DC -- where are we going? By the end of the evening there are ANTS crawling up the trash can and in our bags. I take the trash can to the front desk where I am hushed and told that perhaps they can give us a credit for one day of our stay -- but that's it no more can be done. I called the Comfort Inn Home Office and they informed me that the manager of the establishment gave me a credit for one day and that was all they would honor. When we checked out of our room on Wed. there was no further resolution. We came to DC to see history being ma

Comfortable mattress. Knowledgable staff. Easy to use shuttle service. The continental breakfast did not have very much to offer. The hotel and staff accommodated all of my needs. It was reasonably priced and conveniently located near the thruway. I would choose to stay at another Best Western in the future.

"You get what you pay for. A worn hotel with minimal amenities. Close to Reagan/National Airport-shuttle will come pick you up. Staff friendly. Ice machine(s) throughout hotel inoperative. No in room coffee, 1 small bar of soap provided. Fan clattered all night. Impossible to control temperature in room. But it is the cheapest place close to the city."
