Driving from Juan Santamaria International Airport to Atenas to Quepos in La Palma Parrita 16 kilometers, taking the old road to San Jose through Puriscal in Los Angeles de Puriscal one kilometer north from Los Angeles Catholic Church. Located in La Gloria which is about 30km away from Jaco Beach in Costa Rica along the Pacific Hwy towards Quepos where you turn off onto a unpaved road to the hotel. 1. The hotel is off the main highway and you have to travel up a very rocky, bumpy, dusty dirt road for about 25km to reach the hotel (can take up to 45 minutes each way for this drive alone). If you plan to just stay on the property this could work but to get any basic necessities or visit local attractions, this is not a good setup. 2. We had no hot water for the shower or sink, it turns out that they use a flash hot water system which was either out of propane or the batteries were dead. 3. There is no sit down PC for the guests to use and wireless was spotty at best. 4. Between 5:00pm and 9:00pm it is swarming with mosquitoes. We hope this information helps - If you plan to stay on the property and the equipment works as it should, we are sure you will enjoy the property.

Superb views, staff have very little english. Excellent pool. Saw monkeys and Iguanas in the grounds. Overall had a great time and would stay again

Realmente no esperabamos un hotel de tantisima categoria en mitad de la Selva, el precio es increible, y las habitaciones de lujo, Es muy dificil encontrar hoteles con un precio tan exelente y una calidad tan buena La limpieza de las Habitaciones es increible, y son super amplias, ademas escuchas los pajaros a primeras horas de la mañana para despertarte el desyuno fenomenal, fruta fresca de la zona, y mientras desayunas ves los monos y tucanes, bueno un lujo, no os podeis perder el tour a caballo con Marvin, a las cataratas, realmente recomendamos de todo corazon el Best Western Paraiso Carlisa. no os arrepentireis. It is a small hotel but with very much captivation, this in half of the jungle and the nights they are impressive, the noises, the lights of the fireflies. It is not a hotel for multitudes is to get lost. The service is very attentive and familiar

The hotel is in a beautiful and secluded spot which is perfect for a relaxing stay. As the road improves it will get easier to get to but it is worth making the trip (we used it as a stop over between Manuel Antonio and San Jose). It is set in the jungle and is fantastic for watching local animals/flora and fauna - we had curious monkeys visit us every day for breakfast! Rooms and food are very good given the setting and the the tours of the local area fascinating - I recommend the horse ride to the private waterfall and river. The majority of the staff are employed from the local area and are relaxed but professional. The hotel does have a mini van service and is flexible in laying on activities in the surrounding area although I would recommend bringing your own car for trips to Jaco (the beach) and Manuel Antonio. Each room is a bungalow (so there are a number of outbuildings within the main grounds) and all are secure, clean and have lots of room. All in all this was one of the most unique and interesting places we stayed in during our time in Costa Rica!
