Overall , a comfortable stay. Hotel is older but had wireless internet and a computer for guests to use in the lobby. A small frig. ,microwave, coffee maker and safe were in the room. Outdoor swimmming pool on property outside the breakfast room. A nice tropical fish aquarium in the lobby. I disliked the parking situation which was tight and hard to pull in and out of the spaces, plus there was a daily fee for the parking added on to the bill.

Staff was helpful. Being close to the beach and the helpfulness of the desk staff was its only good qualities. The restaurant was nothing more than a breakfast room and a bar. The hotel badly needs maintenance, doors stuck, ceiling in bathroom had mold and during our stay began to leak water, blow dryer broken. Cleanliness was also an issue. 2nd room we were in was posted non smoking but smelled of smoke.

This hotel met our expectations and then some. Very short walk to the beach, short drive to bars and restaurants. Buffet breakfast was nice and room was clean with all the typical ammenities. No complaints at all. If you're looking for a relatively cheap price, clean, beach location hotel...I highly recommend the Best Western.

Had a family reunion there and the staff did a great job of putting all of us on the same floor of the hotel - some even had adjoining rooms. They worked hard to accommodate us and did a great job!

I like staying in smaller boutique style hotels and with a few changes this hotel could easily achieve this. The bedding needs to be upgraded as we found the pillows lumpy and this hotel was still using bed spreads and not the washable duvet covers which most hotels have gone on to use. I thought the lobby needed a new fresh look as well.

Our family enjoyed the complimentary breakfast buffet each morning. Nothing. This is a great hotel in a great location. It's close to the beach as well as shopping and dining. It's tucked away and offers some privacy. A complimentary buffet breakfast is offered each morning that is delicious. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. We loved how the 2nd floor rooms opened up to a huge sun deck overlooking the pool! I have stayed here for over 20 years and plan on continuing in the future.

Stayed here prior to cruising. The hotel is great, the bar staff is wonderful. There is a pool table and a swimming pool - both plusses. A small negative is that the parking lot is very easy to miss - they can do a better job of signaling the entrance. Other than that we would definitely make it a permanent stop on all future cruises.

This hotel is on the ocean side of the streeet. Just walk out your hotel and and your about 200 yards from the best beach area in fort lauderdale.

Furnished breakfast. Too noisy. Not clean. Too noisy. Broken furniture. Unfriendly, not helpful staff. Not at all pleased with stay.

We were in shock at what a fabulous price we got off Travelocity and the location of the hotel. It is only 1 of 2 hotels that are actually on the beachside as opposed to the others that are across a very busy road. The location is what makes this place a great place to stay. One only needs to walk around the back of the hotel and they will find themselves on the beach. Their breakfast in the morning was great! Scramble eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy were standard as was the waffles, bagels, cereal and yummy fresh cut fruit. Enough food to eat where we did not ever end up having lunch. The front desk staff was great in recommending places to go - i.e., which place was better over another. My one complaint would be that the cleaning staff consistently came to our room at 8:00/8:30 every morning - we were no way ever ready for cleaning to come in at that time - they should have that happen after 10:00 - not 8:00 - so we were never able to our sheets changed it seemed. Families trying to watch their money and with younger kids will be very happy with this hotel. Heated pool so if the ocean was too much or the weather somewhat yucky, the pool came in handy.

The location was excellent for the price. There was a shared balcony on the 5th floor where we were and we had a partial ocean view from it. The beach was just a short walk down the street, but we found a quicker walk behind the hotel, although it was pretty dirty back there. The hotel is a little hike from most of the restaurants down on the beachfront, but nothing too obscene. The parking was $5 a day which I thought was unfair, but then realized the parking is a premium on the oceanfront...it ended up being a bargain. Only thing was since the restaurants and shops we wanted to visit was on the oceanfront, we had to walk or else we would have had to pay to park EVEN AT THE LOCAL RESTAURANTS. If we go back I would like to stay a little more north of this location, but was a treat being so close to the beach.

Wonderful breakfast buffet (free). Nice smoking areas for guests. No "smoking" rooms. Located next door to the Yankee clipper & beach area. It was a very pleasant hotel with helpful staff & an excellent breakfast.

hotel was clean, rooms were clean, nice, comfortable, staff was helpfull and considerate. A five minute walk to the beach. On the weekends the trolly for .50 cents takes you to a local shopping center where you can find anything you need. a $* ride from the airport and to the cruise ships. Would recommend it to anyone who is seeking a good location for the price. We will return as our travels dictates.

This hotel was very clean, the staff was nice, the beds were great, etc., etc., etc. Had I been on vacation to stay on the beach, I would have been drastically disappointed, as you could not even see the beach from the hotel. The beach was a short walk away, though, as is a great restaurant/bar, the Bahia Mar. I'm a local, so I was very, very satisfied with the value for the location. I just would warn the tourists that you cannot plan to sit by the pool or on a balcony and enjoy an ocean view.

The Best Western Oceanside was a very nice hotel with a staff that was friendly and helpful. The room was nice , clean, and perfect for my vacation. The location was great for the beach and plenty of places to eat really close. Local bus transportation that goes right by the hotel. This hotel gets top marks from me.

"A great value for the money! The property is on Ocean Blvd with the beach just behind the property. The rooms are very clean and nicely updated. A full, hot breakfast is included with your room. Parking was an extra $5/day -- A modest inconvenience -- but it is key-access only and covered. Wi-fi is provided, no xtra charge."
