Arrived & ROOM NOT READY. PRICE FLUCTUATED DAILY NOT advertised by Orbitz. Bed bugs. Restuarant food was not good and had to go out to eat. Maid service does not speak english and walks right in. Not recommended if you do have children. Overall bad experience. Do not suggest and will not go back. How can one room change prices everyday? No breakfast or bell service. You will be on your own.

The Best Western Normandy was a great place to stay in Downtown Minneapolis. It was SO easy to get to from 35W North, and getting back on 35W South to get home was just as easy. 35W basically ends at the Best Western's (back) doorstep! The staff was friendly and efficient, the hotel was quiet, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool area was nice, but a little chilly in January. The kids didn't seem to mind. The milk and cookies at 10:00 p.m. were a nice touch, although we had to ask at the front desk to find them. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the Metrodome - even in cold weather. It is a very convenient location if you're going to an event at the Metrodome. You can save a lot of traffic and parking headaches by leaving your car at the hotel and walking a few blocks. There didn't seem to be much food nearby other than the hotel restaurant, which was okay, but a little pricey. We will definitely stay there again the next time we go to a Vikings game!

A starting point for our family meeting and travels for a week. We stayed 2 nights and found a great place to have breakfast within a short walk. Rooms were real nice, we had a suite and loved the woodwork throughout the hotel. pool and spa were nice too. Warm cookies and milk at 10om were the best.

Conveniently located, clean, nightly cookies. Street level rooms noisy during weekdays. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again in the future, but would probably ask for a room facing the pool to get away from the street. There are only four floors, so you are never far away from traffic. It was fun to go down at 10:00 and have milk and cookies, provided by the hotel.

Overall, the hotel was nice. However, it is not linked to the skyway which would have been nice. Dining at the Landmarc Inn was a little pricey. Food was average/bar food. There was a constant knocking/clanking noise in the wall. Very annoying. When mentioned to front desk they did nothing to help. We had a suite and it was very large and nice. Bathroom was exceptional. Bed was above average but nothing special. Sheets were a little hard.

My daughter and I came to min. for a college tour and reg. when 1st arrived the front desk staff didnt seem very friendly. no smiles.check in was fine and our trip was great. the facilities and hotel were very clean. as the day went on the staff changed a little and were more friendly. We were unaware of no continental breakfast and found out that there was no fridge in the rooms.I guess we need to ask for those rooms next time. [...] very nice and towards the end the whole staff was very helpful.we will come again and the location was great!thank you best western

Chess in the lobby, decent pool, hot tub, & sauna. Parking was a little costly. The staff was not clear on the parking charge. The cost for parking was a little harsh. The milk and cookies is a great idea if that had enough for everyone, they only make one batch. Loud, I was always able to hear traffic outside our room but it was in downtown so what can you do. The location was perfect for walking to the Target Center or the Metrodome. The housekeeping staff was very friendly, the front desk staff not so much.

Stayed here on New Year's Eve. Upon checking in we were given a "letter from the owner". You would think that it would be something welcoming the guest to the hotel, but no, it was a list of reasons for which they would kick you out of the hotel. When arriving back at the hotel after midnight we found a line at the door waiting to get in. The manager was blocking the door and checking each person to make sure that they were registered guests at the hotel. I can see wanting to be safe on a busy night, but don't make your guests feel like criminals. If a few guests are abusing their stay, then deal with them, but don't make all of your guests feel like 5 year olds just because of something that a few people may or may not do. After going through the interrogation at the door we grabbed our bags and checked out. Honestly, even if we hadn't been treated so badly, it is unlikely that we would ever stay at this hotel again. Don't be fooled by the pictures. They obviously took a few key pictures of their best room. The rooms in this hotel are very dated and look like they were last updated in 1979. If you are looking for a hotel in the heart of Minneapolis, there are many other, much better choices. Stay clear of the Best Western Normandy Inn.

Great location - clost to Target Center and DT Minneapolis...room was great and so was service. Directions from staff varied and were not very clear - getting there mostly b/c of construction was a JOKE...took about 40 minutes longer b/c of detours on 94. Not the staff's fault, but they could've warned us or let us know of an alternate route - especially since I asked about construction when I called to confirm the reservations.

I had reserved a king-size bedroom for one. When it was discovered that the room I checked into had broken AC, the staff gladly upgraded me to a suite, which was fabulous and made the weekend stay feel like a vacation! Plus this hotel gives out cookies at 10pm every night. And those freshly-baked cookies are very very yummy (I am a baker myself), which is one more reason to stay at this hotel.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was very nice and clean except the toilet kept running and there was black mold around the bathtub. I thought it was a very classy older hotel.Easy to find and close to the childrens hospital. The rooms were clean except for the mold in the bathtub. The staff was very nice and helped us find a restaurant nearby. For being in downtown Minneapolis, I and my sisters and niece felt safe. There was a $7 parking fee, which wasnt bad at all compared to some of the other hotels.

We were able to take the shuttle to the Twins game on Tues. night and Wed. noon game. Where we were dropped off was perfect. The walk back to the Normandy was not bad at all. The staff is very friendly and helpful if you need directions. We had a great night's sleep. The bed and pillows were so nice.

Clean and nicely decorated. No complimentary breakfast but the homemade cookies and milkat 10pm was very appreciated. The convince to the HHH Dome and Target was great. Could walk to both. The hotel restruant was a little too upscale and pricey for us but many nice sports bars and other restruants are close. The lobby and rooms were nicely decorated. Did not utilize the pool but it looked very nice. It exceeded my expectations for the reasonable price it was.
