The food and the views of Cardiff City Centre are the highlight of this hotel in my view.It may look a little tired ont he outside but the rooms were very smart and the food, although pricey in the restaurant, was first class. I personally dined in the bar and was very impressed with my choice of food.

A relaxing and welcoming hotelThe hotel was in a beautiful location, with lovely, well kept grounds. The staff were helpful and we had a spacious room with a fantastic view. We would definately stay here again and thought that the hotel provided good value for money.

Great LocationThe hotel has a wonderful quiet setting overlooking the city. They have large functions can overwhelm the public areas. Rooms quite tired but acceptable. Food average. Excellent value at Laterooms price.

Great valueLovely room. Spacious and clean. Heating adjustment in room.Beautiful views and oh so peaceful.Rather difficult to find as the listed post code is wrong. Phoning venue to get directions took you through a menu to select and then wait for assistance. This could be improved.Staff very helpful when got through automated selctions.

fantastic! We were given a suite for the same price as their standard room! Would go back again and again.WARNING: Do not plug in the hotel's postcode into your SATNAV ... it leaves you stranded on the M4. Phone the hotel for the correct postcode

Positive points: Absolutely brilliant accomodation, top-quality. Breathtaking scenery. Perfect breakfast (that's the only meal we took) comfortable, inviting rooms with escellent facilities.Wonderful service, courteous & friendly staff. Also appreciated was the fact that when you ring up, you get to listen to a recorded message telling you not to use the hotel's postcode if following SAT-NAV directions to get there, with alternative co-ordinates to follow. However, I do think this point could have been put on the original website to save heartache! We stayed as an extended family - grandma in one room; mum, dad, 4 year old & toddler in another. Not very child friendly, I'm afraid! No highchair in restaurant / cot facilities or spare bed in bedroom etc but otherwise totally perfect. Definitely recommended. One last point - do ensure you drive there or have arranged a lift / know of a good local taxi service... I cannot possibly imagine how someone might get there using public transport!

A bargain at £30 a night B&B. Only problem was they tried to charge my card before I arrived, which I thought unreasonable. Breakfast should start earlier than 7am. Otherwise a nice place with friendly staff.

This hotel was set a little off the beaten track with wonderful views over cardiff. On arrival we were greeted by a very helpful receptionist who booked us in very quickly. The room was amazing, we stayed in the suite, room 1 which was like nothing we have stayed in before and only wish we were staying for more than 1 night.The Breakfast in the morning was lovely, service was a little slow but there only appeared to be one poor lad looking after everyone.I would absolutely recommend this hotel and will definately return there as cannot fault it. Very clean, comfortable and great value for money.

Really lovely hotel, great views over Cardiff. We arrived late so did not have an evening meal but breakfast was very good. Staff very pleasant, check in and out both very quick and easy. Would definitely stay again if I have a need to be in this area.

nice hotel. price was up for the rugby, no choice. if booked early nice hotel for the price. food is good but menu is limited. we definetally go again. Cardiff centre 15mins by taxi £15.

Lovely hotel with a great view across the city to the sea, and not too difficult to get to by bus (as long as you haven't much luggage!). The staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious. Probably one of the more affordable places to have an experience like this.

Solo stay as on business trip one night. Restaurant closed as 2 functions on in hotel. Told lounge menu available but no staff keen on serving and no tables in lounge free. Receptionist recommended Travellers Rest Pub up the road where food was excellent. Nice room etc but a bit expensive for a B&B!!
