The room was discusting, mold and mildue blowing from the AC unit,(the smell was nauseating), blood on the matress and boxspring, and old food under the table.. We asked for another room and we were shown another two rooms by the manager and the AC unit still had the same smell, if you looked in the vents you could clearly see mold and other debris on the screen of the AC unit, and I was told by the manager that the AC units got wet during the remodel. We didnt even spend the night, we checked in and 30 minutes later we had to repack the car and checked out. It was HORRIBLE. We ended up driving through to Buffalo making it a 18hr day in the car with 3 adults and 2 children under 4 years old. I will be contacting you for a complete refund. VERY DISAPOINTED!!!

There were bugs in my room, the trash wasn't taken out by housekeeping, despite my request. The hall smelled badly. Dirty. The hotel appears not to have been updated for 20 or more years. It was dirty, the hallway, especially as you enter the hotel from the parking lot smelled terrible. The hallways, near the room, smelled bad as well as if it had been wet and mildew. I asked for housekeeping to just dump my trash and leave me with the same towels, to help the environment. They did not visit my room at all, leaving the trash for the 2 bugs I found on the box spring of the bed.

We stayed at this Best Western on our way to and from Washington, D.C. The value was great. The check-in was fast. The continetal breakfast was included. The room was nice with a hair drye, coffee maker, microwave and fridge. Parking was free. Restaurants were close.

Must preface this review with the fact that new windows are being installed and though that accounts for some dust, it by no means explains (a) a dirty mirror (b) a sticky phone pad (c) the hair of an unknown person in the bedside table (d) little black bugs flying through the air and landing on the walls (e) dusty bedside tables and (f) an absolutely filthy duvet on the bed ~ though we do wonder about the fire code in Morgantown and the plastic sheeting over all the windows on our side of the hall... The upside? The desk personnel and the housekeeper / maintenance man who so kindly raided the linen closet and found us two NEW (never used) duvets could not have been kinder. They were apologetic and really tried to help clarify a room reservation snafu as well. The overall cleanliness of this establishment, on a scale of 1-5 (1 being the worst) is 0. Halls had not been swept, baseboards were dirty, snacks dropped on the elevator remained there throughout our stay; chairs in rooms were stained, bedspreads had holes. You should avoid this hotel at all costs!

In the past year, I have stayed at this hotel 3 or 4 times. Usually, the hall ways are dirty and stink. And, as for the rooms, you would not want to put your bare feet on the carpet. However, this time, all areas smelled okay and the carpets were cleaner. Keep up the good work.

The room seemed very damp. The staff was very friendly and helpful while we were there. The breakfast provided was more than adequate and was left open beyond the stated time in order for latecomers to have something, which I thought was very nice. After we left my mother discovered her glasses missing. She thought she may have left them at the hotel and it was difficult to get someone to check for them. The first person told me to call back the next day, the second said she would check with housekeeping and call back. She didn't. On my third call, I was told that the second person thought the first person had called me, but called housekeeping to check. I was not sure anyone really looked.

As a business traveller for over 20 years, I have stayed in many many hotels and motels across the US. This was the worst...........From the stained towels and linens to the hairs on the sink and in the toilet to the blocked windows to the fire alarm pulled at 4:45 to the absence of the "please excuse the dust" sign.....the only redeeming quality was the continental breakfast and the person who checked me in. Hmmmmmmm.......I hope everyone here is getting the point!! Unless you are a college student thats going to pack himself and 5 other friends into the room....DON'T Bother!!!!

Very tired hotel. Needs refurbishing/breakfast awful. Hotel was located just off the highway we were travelling. It seems to be a very old place in need of a facelift. Not the standard of other Best Western Hotels we've stayed in.

I was there for my daughter's WVU orientation. The room did not seem cleaned, beds not made well. The TV only had 6 random channels. I was disappointed.

The cleanliness of the hotel. The fact that I had to switch rooms when I arrived because of messed up cable. This hotel was alright, but I wasn't completely unhappy with it. There was a problem with the cable in the first room we received, and then were switched to a second room but wasn't treated to the same features (two double beds instead of one king size bed which was disappointing). Then, after arriving at the second room, we discovered that the high speed internet plug wasn't working. We called customer support and were told we would need a new cable. When I called down to the desk, the lady working was unsure where the cables were, so I was told I would have to wait till the next day. The following day, after I got the cable, it still wouldn't work, so we gave up on it. Other than these few problems, it was a very decent stay. The hotel was close to the University, and plenty of restaurants and shopping. It seemed safe enough, even though the side entrance to the building (that usually required a key to access) was open to the public. The rooms were safe, though, so I wasn't too worried about our safety. I would probably stay in this hotel again on my next trip to Morgantown as the price was very reasonable.

It was fine. We've stayed at this hotel previously. It is convenient to our needs. The continental breakfast was poorly planned. Prior to 9 am, they were about out of everything!

My check-in was speedy and the conditions of the rooms was very good. It's a little hard to maneuver around the driveway, but that's a minor issue. I was there to see a WVU basketball game, and the hotel is conveniently located near the campus.

Easy access to hotel and the indoor pool. Dirty entry ways, most doors were not locked or require key entrance. No coffee cups for morning coffe. Coffee pot in room was dirty. Check in was slow.

It was clean. It was the noisiest hotel I haveever stayed in. The heater smelled like something was burning. Not in the nicest part of Morgan town, a fire station close and the siren blew – very loud. Thin walls and when anyone checked in you could hear them. The room above us the kids were doing gymnastics at 1:30 in the morning. The lobby smelled of cigarette smoke.

Staff let us check in early because we had to get ready for a wedding. Lobby and hallway carpet needs replaced. Great place as far as convenience and location and the rooms are great and it was quiet.

I liked that everything seemed clean and there was a microfridge in the room. Odd place for indoor pool and gym in full view of fron desk. Why would I go to an indoor pool and then have to go to parking lot to get to my room. Clean room, cordial staff, adequate bed and breakfast. Odd place for indoor pool and gym, (I did not use them because they are in full view of front desk.) If it had been winter I would have frozen coming from pool to parking lot to my room. Sign at continental breakfast states do not take food or beverage from this area to room as if they don't want any food in the rooms, but there is a micro-fridge in the room!
Date of Stay:

The room was clean and appeared to have been recently redecorated. Found a roach in the room, pool floor was slimy & hallway was filthy From the virtual tour this hotel presented itself well. However, this hotel was quite a disappointment. Upon entering the hallway, the smell almost knocked you over. There were candy wrappers and peanut shells all over the hallway (for 2 days). We found a cock roach in the room and the pool floor was slimy.
Date of Stay:
June, 2008
Liked? It had a bed and a shower. This hotel had an odd-rat maze of a design and was a little rough around the edges. But it was quiet and reasonably comfortable. Lots of dining options in the area. (Ask for the Texas Roadhouse keys for 10% off dining there.)

It was clean and the staff were friendly. There wasn't anything that I didn't like. It was clean and a nice place to stay for the night.
