Not recommended ufortunatelyNice spacious room. Furniture was a little dated. TV remote did not work. The customer service was very good.Fairly clean.Do not stay here if you are using it for work. I was kept up all night with the noise from outside and some wierd generator sounding noise from within the hotel at 5 am. Due to the heat I had to keep opening the window but when closed it did drown out some of the noise.

Some people on here moan about the slightest little things which has actually put me off booking hotels before! This hotel is great, rooms are clean and well decorated, customer service excellent and the food in the bar was good too. Yes the adjacent car park is closed but the nearest car park is clearly signposted and no more than 2 minutes walk away through the shopping mall. In fact if you have a lot of luggage there is a drop of zone right outside the front door.

Best Western Menzies StrathmoreIncredibly disappointing. As this was a first time Business visit to Luton I used a sat nav. The car park for this hotel is closed because of structural damage. The hotel does not state this when advertising. The hotel re-directs you to a shopping mall car park which you have to pay for but is free between 6.00pm-8,00am , do not take any heavy luggage with you as it is not as close as you think. The hotel was dark, old fashioned and a poor promotion of what Luton could actually be if it wanted visitors and revenue. I will not be using this hotel again. and would not recommend it unless it had a total face lift.

the staff were all really pleasent. the room was only set up for one guest instead of two. when we went for breakfast they said only one should be dining, again we pointed out we booked for two. the food on friday and saturday was lovely but was over cooked and poor on sunday.although the staff were really pleasent it was embarrassing being questioned each time we went for a meal.

Was told there was a buffet starting at 7. Hotel delayed it as a large group going in at 8. Felt this was bad as there were quite a few residents wanted the buffet at 7 and had to order from main menu which is obviously more expensive. Also, didnt mention that you had to park your car in public car park which was a walk from the hotel through a shopping mall. Okay when I arrived but quite daunting at 5am in the morning for a lone lady resident

Short StayWe arrived off an early morning flight and arrived at the hotel just after 9am. We checked in and were delighted when told our room was ready. We never expected this so we were able to get some rest before enjoying the remainder of our day.Reception were very helpful throughout our stay. Cleanliness was a priority for the hotel. The hotel was very central to a local entertainment centre which we made use of. The Tourist office was just outside the hotel and extremely useful. The train station and bus station were simply 5mins walk. All in all a very central and peaceful location. We had a lovely break.

The parking situation at this hotel is laughable...Public car park with a fair walk at the end of it. Not suitable for disabled persons.Hotel itself is OK, very near the centre therefore you can go for a walk fairly easily.Reception / bar staff very friendly, not the same can be said for dining room

Staying the WeekendThe car park at the hotel is currently closed due to improvements needing to be made, but staff were able to assist by advising where closest and safest place to park the car would be. Throughout the stay the atmosphere at the hotel was warm and friendly. All staff were very polite and very professional in their duties.

OK but not greatI stayed here on night with my girlfriend as we had to be a Luton airport for 7am.On arival the 3 riot vans and 3 police horses in the square next to the hotel didn't do a good job of setting the mood. But this is not the Hotels fault, its just the area.As for the hotel itself it is clean and plesant. The rooms are not big but what do you expect for a centre of town hotel. They are hower done to a reasonable standard. Ours had a flat screen TV and again although the bathroom was pretty small it was clean and modern. The only bad points I can pick out are that the walls seem to be pretty thin, if someone has their TV on LOUD! then you can here every word, so take some earplugs incase. The other downside was the bar/restaurant. Dont plan to eat here unless you want to pay £13 for a chicken burger you can get accross the road in the pub for £5. The bar staff were also very rude. All in all if you are looking for a stop over then the Best Western in Luton is good enough the for £40 we paid. Also the cost of a taxi from the hotel to the airport is £5 and takes no more than 10 mins. Great if you dont want to have to travel for hours on your way to your buget flight.

I could not have breakfast as it is not served until 7am. For an hotel so near the airport this is an oversight. The service and comfort was A1 though. v v v nice room, very clean, v quiet, slept like a log. Reception was A1. Price too.
