My husband and I were disappointed with the room. I did not complain because I had already pre-paid. They did not have us set up on the computer when we arrived, but did take care of it in a timely manner. The room was not what we expected for the price. We have stayed in Comfort Suites, Hyatt Gardens, and La Quinta at cheaper rates and had excellent rooms, with jacuzi, VHS/DVD players, etc. There werent' any bath towels, no floor mat, and the contenental breakfast was lacking. I had taken a virtual view of what the room was suppose to look like and what we got was just the run of the mill that we could have gotten for less.

Nice hotel for the price. Nice, clean hotel, especially for the price. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was clean and enjoyed our stay there.

The hotel staff was wonderful, friendly and very knowledgeable. We stayed the night to leave on a Cruise out of Galveston the next day, and the location is perfect-right off the Highway only about 20 minute drive. There is plenty to do around the hotel within walking distance.. the mall is right after the parking lot, and also a variety of restaurants. The rooms are very very clean, and AC works great!!!(you'll need in South Texas ) :)

Great location andclose to shopping and dining. Staff was friendly and dressed nice, quiet neighborhood and less than 30 minutes.

Mold all over the shower curtain, room next to the ice machine that didn't appear to have been cleaned in a month or two! The remote for the TV that had all of 10 or 12 channels had a piece of tape holding the battery in. I spent 100 on this filthy room with the never ending boom and rattle of the ice maker. I got about 5 hours of sleep after working a 13 hour day. Oh and then there was the staff. No point in trying to change anything about the room because they were completely NOT HELPFUL! Try next door at the Hampton Inn!

The hotel's in the perfect location for those who wish to visit both Galveston and Kemah in the same weekend. My husband and I found the staff extremely friendly and willing to help, but they all lacked experience. We had problems with our reservation and had to clarify which day we were leaving twice. Also, they tried to charge us an extra $75 upon checkout but never gave a response to what the mix up was. Our little getaway from the city was nice but could have been better without the incompetence.

Price. Rooms were not clean. The desk staff had poor knowledge about directions and local services. The rooms were not clean, floors filthy, had not been vacuumed or mopped before or during 2 night stay. I will not go back.

I was visiting a friend who has a small house and no room for a guest. Hotel was only used to sleep in, but was quiet. Did not the air freshner sprayed in room daily with cleaning. I have stayed in better hotels, but this matched what I needed at this time. I would not return in the future.

Mattresses were a little too firm and they did not have extra blankets available upon request.

Check in time falsely advertised. Staff did not have their act together. Too many apologies but not enough real concern.

We stayed 3 nights and it was very quiet and clean. We will stay here again. The breakfast could be a little better, other than that, it is a great place to stay.

Very friendly staff. Excellent customer service. Nothing major to complain about. Clean room. Excellent staff. The only minor thing to complain about is that the pool is not that far off the road. But it is a very pretty pool for this level of hotel. If you like to find the best of the average priced hotels, this is a good one to go with. Above average free breakfast.

We stayed three nights. Other than the check-in night, our beds were never made. The third day, the maid did not show up at all and the front desk was no help. Our door did not close properly either. My guess is that Best Western is more interested in cheap labor than repeat business.

The rooms were more than I expected since it had unfavorable comments. Nothing - everything was excellent. My wife is a lot more demanding than I am since I have lived in some off beat motels in construction for 40 years and she says it was excellent - I made a good choice.

Bed wasto hard, breakfast area very small and ran out of food quickly.

Location was great, close to Galveston. The mattress was very firm, a little to firm for me. The location was great, the room was good, but housekeeping did not clean our room the 2nd day. We came back the floor was not vaccuumed the bed was half made, we did have fresh towels and soap.

Good price, good location, friendly staff. Small pool, no hottub. Good price, clean rooms, friendly staff and a central location. Several restaurants close by as well as a mall.

The lobby was beautiful. Some of the staffs were not friendly. The hotel was nice the room was spacious. They need to reconsider their pool hours and keep their breakfast buffet well stocked. Overall it was a pleasant stay the bathroom had marble counters. And the in room fridge was nice.
Date of Stay:
June, 2008
It had a good appeal and had a fridge in the room. Had a termite incident the first night which was taken care of by the coolness of the AC. The mattresses were too stiff and to be honest cheap. The cleanliness was good with the exception of the fitness room which had no water in the cooler and was seemingly unkempt. The best value was the location which placed us close to the beach and amusement park areas we were visiting.
