A pleasant stop-offHotel was alright at the price we paid - would have been disappointed at full rate! Service was fine although the breakfast wasn't fantastic. Would stay there again if I was passing but wouldn't choose as a destination.

Lovely hotel, set in its own grounds. Rooms clean and very comfortable . Staff were very friendly and helpful. If at all possible I will use this hotel again.

This hotel is located in a lovely setting. The reason for a low mark regarding clenliness is because the pool was in need of a good clean. Green algae etc. The reason for the low mark for the food quality was the general poor quality of the cooking and I have never before had - or would want again - olives stuffed with lemon peel. There was a wedding on the evening of our stay and despite attempts to contact the night porter we could not stop the guests running up and down the corridors and slamming doors etc. up to 3.30am! in the morning. The staff were fine and once again, the setting /location is fantastic.

A 2-day mid-week breakMy partner and I booked a late 2-day break as a reward for a very hard few months working 7 days a week, so a relaxing hotel and location was what we looked for and what we got. The beauty of it is it's just up the road from Chester and Cheshire Oaks, so the choice is yours whether to do other things than just relax.

beautiful and charming hotel set in peaceful surroundingsHotel is beautiful and rooms are tastefully decorated. However, I was disappointed that there was no air-conditioning in the bedrooms, which at the time I visited, were very hot and stuffy. You couldn't leave the window open as there were lots of bugs and gnats that immediately flew in and there was evidence of squashed bugs all over the ceiling and walls. It was a lovely touch to see the 'feathers teddy' on the bed but would have been nice to have slippers and a robe available too.I arranged to have a manicure done but the quality of this was very poor.

Great break away!We managed to get a great last minute deal for this hotel on laterooms, and got loads for our money. The hotel is set in lovely grounds, with a nice terrace where myself, my fiance and baby daughter sat both days for a drink and a meal. The food was lovely, and service from the staff brilliant. The only problem we found was the heat - it was a very humid few days and it was unbearable in the room during the night. However, we were given a fan and jug of iced water from the night porter when I went looking for him at 2am the first night! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We visited Chester zoo which was around a 10 minute drive away, and Chester centre around 5mins. Overall a brilliant few days away. We will be back!

Great ValueWe went to the Lyndir Hall Hotel as we were recomended by our daughter, it is in a nice location good for visiting Chester and surrounding area's, the room was very spacious but a bit tired around the edges carpet needed replacing. But my main complaint was the fact when the room was serviced the bed looked liked it was made but in fact the duvet cover was just pulled accross and the sheet underneath was just how we left it when we got up, also the staff could do with being a bit more friendlier

Hard to beatGreat value for money, without it being a value hotel. The restaurant manager had the restaurant running like a well oiled machine, this is what stood out the most for me, he had the stafff silently clearing up, keeping everything in order, and had a good sense of humor. Use the hotel as somewhere to stay whist attending a wedding. However plan to go there for a weekend break sometime soon, as was so impressed.Without hesitation, I'd recommend this to any members of my closest family knowing that they will be more than satisfied with their stay.

ReviewAlthough the price was cheap because of the laterooms deal, the experience was not of the best. I discovered that a wedding reception was taking place at the hotel, meaning a great deal of noise until midnight. Given that I had to be at a conference early the following morning, my priority was obtaining an undisturbed night's sleep, and I would not have booked this room - even at the reduced price - had I been informed of the wedding reception. The food in the hotel did not represent value: the cod and (half a dozen) chips was rather mediocre in flavour and pretentious in presentation: either twice the quality or quantity would have made this about right. The room was well-appointed and had good amenities, although the decor did seem to be designed with the kind of Premiership footballers who live in Cheshire in mind.

Booked this room last minute and found it great value for money. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Was just the sort of place we were looking for for a quiet getaway and will definitely stay again.

A good price with late rooms. Wireless connection did not work and after speaking with other guests found out that this has been the case for some weeks now! yes BT are being blamed.Restaurant very expensive, yes I know it it trying to be silver service!Bar meals far better but I have an issue with their Chunky Chips!Shower in room only a very slow flow rate so it took a long time and cold due to lack of flow. Breakfast pre cooked so was the usual war and soggy afair. Why cannot hotels now cook to order?I used the pool which was a reasonable size.

disappointingAt first the hotel seemed to be worth the money, but after poor customer service (having no members of staff anywhere in the hotel other then reception and having to find them whenever we needed a drink, and in the morning when we came to have our breakfast.) and having freezing cold showers with a shower that had a broken temperature gage that kept falling off. We came back after a night out for my birthday to find the shower was on pouring out boiling hot water so the room was as hot as a sauna and all of our possessions ruined. We asked the night porter for help and he did move us to another room but did so with attitude. Other all completely disappointing and are expecting a full refund and will never use this chain of hotels again.

BreakfastThis is my second stay at the Hotel but i was very upset to find that our 'Breakfast in Bed' request was not adhered to and did not happen at all. We left our tag on the external handle at 11pm and was surprised to find the tag there at 10am the following morning. This meant we were then too late to get breakfast in the Hotel restaurant and ended up missing it completely. We were only given £ 10 back and this did not then pay for our breakfast on the way back home. This let the whole experience down and left a bad taste in my mouth. Poor service from that point of view!
