Room on top floor - good size but bathroom very hot and heat spread to room. Maybe it was near a boiler?

Old world and comfortable. TV set in room is too small. The hotel and location is very pleasant with nice gardens. It is an older charming building in a nice setting. The elevator is small and a few stairs to get to rooms. Great breakfast in true English style.

Not best WesternCertainly not BEST Western, should have saved the money spent on flat screen tvs and decorated the rooms. No breakfast available until 8am which is not acceptable for business travellers who have to pay for the breakfast anyway in the tariff.Not good value for money with so many more competative alternatives.Only plus point is the excellent pub down the road.

Return visit to this lovely hotelMy daughter and I had an enjoyable stay at this hotel in November 2008 and returned because we enjoyed it so much on that occasion and it was conveniently located to places we wanted to visit on 24th and my son and family on 25th. Our twin-bedded room was ideal for us and we enjoyed a beautiful view. Staff in both restaurant and Reception were very friendly, helpful and efficient and dealt with the one problem we encountered quickly and very efficiently.

Very nice setting just outside Bath. Most of the staff were very helpful. Disapointed with service at breakfast - this was due to there being a wedding party each morning, there were a lot of people to serve and only two waiters.

Best Western???The overall experience did not meet the expectations of a Best Western Hotel. The room was small and the on-suit bathroom was not impressive at all. The hotel seamed very tired and in dire need of an refurbishment. Having recently stayed at the Best Western in Canterbury this was a complete contrast and this hotel lets the brand name of Best Western down very badly indeed.

Simply the Best.This was a late booking for a 2 nights break for myself and husband for his 40th birthday. The hotel is a little way outside of Bath. The staff who we were in contact with namely Reception, Restaurant waiter/ess and Barman. They were all extremely friendly, helpful, courteous and professional, they couldn't do enough for you. The room had a lovely view, it was clean and little extra toiletries were in the bathroom. As part of a deal we had a meal in the restaurant. The service was excellent. I thought I was in a Michelin Star restaurant. The menu was extensive. The presentation was lovely. The food was gorgeous. We didn't have to wait long either. Breakfast was Full English and Continental self service. There was lot's of it and hot. My one and only criticism was that they did not have any gluten or wheat free bread. This is widely available in shops now so I think that it could be provided by a restaurant. My husband and I loved it and when we return to Bath it shall beto the same hotel.

A nice little surprise!All excellent - if i was to be picky the room was a little hot and the radiators werent on so we could do very little but to sleep with the window open. Other than that we were both very pleased with our stay.

NiceA pleasant and tranquil setting.Staff were very helpful - sorted out the problem with the TV at once.We particularly like the flexibility of choosing from either bar or restaurant menus in bar lounge.

Stay at Limpley StokeWe enjoyed our stay at Limpley Stoke and it was great to be in a small village just outside of Bath. Generally a lovely place for a short stay for a couple of days and the food was tasty. I would recommend arriving by car as it is a few miles out of the city and the bus links are a bit infrequent. On the whole the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and recommend Limpley Stoke Hotel.

Beautiful setting for quiet relaxationSet in the heart of beautiful Kent this hotel is very grand and has seen slightly better days, but even so is still quite charming. We didn't get a chance to get to the pub (it was closed when we tried to pop in), but the hotel room and facilities were very pleasant and I would definitely visit again and recommend to friends. Enjoy your stay, we did!

Limpley Stoke Best WesternThe room we were given was not representative of the pictures on the internet (both on LateRooms and their website). We understand the hotel is undergoing renervations.Plenty of car parking, and staff friendly and efficient on arrival. Our room was in the attic, with a view of a portacabin. The room itself was not well ventilated, very hot, even with no heating and the window open. The bathroom was not clean on arrival - far from fithly, but a good bit off spotless.This being said, we paid £65 for the night - not extortionate by any means, so overall the value for money was not bad. (If I compare this to the Cork Radisson SAS where I paid £75 then it wasn't great). I would suggest better checking of rooms by housekeeping, because of the bathroom.The hotel itself was an old building, with some spectacular views. Confusing stairways, and a lift that felt unsafe did not add anything to the experience, although I understand that this is difficult to rectify and I have experienced this in more than one Best Western. The breakfast was good - a help-yourself buffet style, although, I am still waiting to be asked if I would like a hot drink. Pub at the end of the drive was excellent, a good meal at a fair price. We did not have dinner in the hotel.If all you are looking for is somewhere to put your head, then this is the place for you, but I wouldn't stay here on business, or would I bring my family.

Great hotel in a nice little location just outside bath. Well signposted on route. Staff were very friendly on arrival and were extremely helpful. Noticed that one guest required a lot of assistance as his car had broken down and the receptionist was extremely helpful with him, helping sort out local garage etc. Great value for money and the breakfast was really good. Went to the pub at the bottom of the hotel drive for food and can highly recommend it,
