Very quick get away to mountains, Very friendly staff nice pool. Good location, but the rooms seem to be a little out dated for the price.

This Hotel is across a neighborhood street from a 24hr gas station which is used by Greyhound for their cross-country bus break stops. So, if you get an odd number room you will be kept awake all night long by the rumble of idyling bus engines. They begin arriving around 9pm and continue ALL NIGHT LONG, with 2 or more running their engines for 30+ min at a time. And as soon as one leaves another arrives. We cut our trip down from 4 days to 1 and went home with an hour of sleep from our night at this hotel. Enjoy.....NOT! Oh BTW, the tv had a loud buzz in the audio, the hallways smelled of cigarettes and the firehoses were removed from the wall boxes.

The bad reviews made me hesitant, but they were not true for us. Our room was very clean, but very basic! White walls, no pictures and quite small, not a very cheerful room, but for the cost, it was fine. I was mostly concerned with the cleanliness, which it was.The pool was small, but warm and kids liked it. The breakfast was definately just continental..no frills there either. We asked for a location away from the highway and with the air/heater on, we had no noise trouble at all. The location is next to great bike trails. You have to cross a main road to Lake Dillon, but traffic lights were good and we had no trouble getting across it with two little kids - people in this town are used to peds and bikes. Overall, not a bad experience. Staff was very friendly and accomodating.

Traveling with 3 kids and and a husband cranky from a full day at work and traffic....check-in took less than 10 minutes. The room was average, except for the fact we had 3 BIG BEDS! We found this unusual and wonderful for the price. The indoor pool was clean and bathwater warm, and the hot tub huge...pleasant for a snowy stay. Pool towels were absent, but the front desk provided quickly..very small, ask for doubles. No on-site food service was open, but Dominos delivered in 30 minutes as promised. Even in a freak late-spring snow storm, access to local ski areas (in our case A-Basin) was clear and quick. Normally we wake before dawn to travel the 2 hours to get to our favorite ski area. Staying here was a pleasant luxury we can afford to do...and will do again.

I had read enough negative reviews on- line to be really concerned about the quality, cleanliness and service. Instead I found almost every aspect of the service and conveniences excellent, especially considering the cost of staying there, given that it is one of the few inexpensive places in that part of Summit County which has an indoor swimming pool. (1) The pool was a delight, clean, warm and inviting and barely used during the weekdays I stayed. And the jacuzzi?s were wonderful too. (2) I found everything in my room in fine working order and was really pleased by the air conditioner/heater which could be easily adjusted quickly one degree at a time, keeping the room from overheating at night but making it warm before and immediately after showers.(3) Some reviews mentioned carpets not being well-vacuumed. I found that to be so one day (of my five there) and called the front desk which promptly sent someone to make it better. She did it with a friendly attitude. I also told the front desk about back stairs leading to the pool needing vacuuming. That too was swiftly taken care of. (4) All the service people I spoke to were friendly and helpful, although a couple of young men at the front desk seemed to be still learning on the job.(5) I also rented skiis and boots from Ike Garst?s High Road Sports downstairs in the lobby. Ike was very knowledgeable, and likewise helpful and friendly. His rates were quite reasonable too, compared to what I would have paid on the slopes.(6) I had breakfast only once in the restaurant and suggest that if you looking for baking powder biscuits, you will find that the restaurant?s are not authentic.

We arrived for a meeting, it was my self, my sister in law, and 3 kids. Because of an all day meeting, my sister in law stayed with the 3 toddlers in the room and pool. They spent most of the time in the pool. Before checking out we both looked at every thing in the room to make sure we weren't forgetting anything. After checking out and returning home, the next day I received a call from the Manager stating that the room was "DESTROYED". There was only crumbs of food on the floor, I checked before we left. I was still charged $* only for having to pass the vacuum twice through the room, they started to bring up more things on us, stating we broke the closet doors, when we didn't even touch them. Word of advise, call the manager and house keeper in your room BEFORE you check out, so they can't over charge you for actually cleaning the room. Also read the fine print when signing anything, that's where they got me, because I signed that i would be responsible for any damages, but I never knew it meant any damages they made up. BEWARE!!

Lake Dillon is a laugh. More likely it should read I-70 Best Western. The Continental breakfast was only served one morning. The resturant and bar was never opened. It was a common motel 6 next to the freeway! The only saving grace was that it was close to Copper Mt. and Frisco is a nice town. It would be okay for someone traveling from Grand Junction to Denver that needed a place for the night!

"The hotel was ideally located. However, the general upkeep was not there, especially for the price! The doorway into the hotel was filthy. We assumed some younger guests had made the mess (chips spilled everywhere, fast food wrappers and pop/beer cans on the ground) just before we arrived and it would be cleaned up soon. But no, the mess was still there in the morning. The restroom by the pool was beyond disqusting. I wouldn't let my worst enemy to go in there."
