The proximity of King's Dominion is the best asset. On the other hand, if you want to eat anything else then eggs or fried chips, you have to drive at least 10 miles.

We have stayed at this hotel every year for probably the last 5 or 6 years. We love Kings Dominion for our kids and the hotel is very conveniently located. You can walk to the park entrance in about less than 10 minutes or you can take the free shuttle they offer. The hotel has a Denny's on site (service a little slow but it's still convenient). You need to get to breakfast by 8:45 to avoid major crowds. There is a pool, ping pong, tennis and a small play ground. The rooms are no frills. You get two beds that are only marginally comfortable. The hotel is relatively clean but far from spotless with a very small bathroom. We've never had a room with mold or bugs as some people have discussed. While a poolside room is nice with small kids it definitely has it's disadvantages with noise. People are swimming in that pool till all hours of the night. Even on this trip when the pool was not open yet the noise by those rooms is loud because people have to walk by the poolside rooms to get to the Denny's, playground, tennis etc. My suggestion would be to request a parking lot view room or a room on the courtyard but in the back near the tennis courts. I forgot to mention that they have a small game room that my kids love. I would stay here if it's a quick visit and you want a convenient hotel to Kings Dominion, just don't expect a 4 star hotel. It's basically a place to sleep.

The location is great! Close to Kings Dominion. Went with a church group and did not like that we were told to check out at 8 a.m. as opposed to 12 noon for other guests. Sheets were stained. Comforter was dingy and dirty underneath. Rooms had a musty smell. Plus there was hardly any water pressure in the shower. The pizza from Uno's on the grounds was just a frozen pizza warmed up. This place is good for a quick stay.

The facilities. Very outdated room & uncomfortable bed, old carpet. Great for families because of facilities. Nice playground, tennis courts, shuffle board, putting green, lounge with outside patio, game room, and nice pool (which was not opened yet for our stay). Uno pizza at the facility as well as 24 hr Denny's. The actual rooms could use a makeover though

My wife found ants crawling all over the room. On our last morning my wife found a roach crawling on her suitcase. Don't stay here. The rates are low for a reason. Staff is friendly but that means nothing when you have more creatures in your room than you paid for.

Good, clean room with all the basics. Nothing fancy, but that's all you need if the Park is your focus. Great pool, playground and mini golf for kids. Other guests a bit loud at night with poolside room. Denny's on-site but service slow for breakfast. Will go again.

This room was so disgusting. After a long day we checked in. To our dismay it was disgusting, I had a 24 month old and was afraid to lay him down anywhere. The bathroom was mildewed. Absolutely filthy was the blankets, and the floor even though carpeted was damp and smelled of urine. We checked out within 5 mins!

Close to major interstate highway. Adequate accommodations for 11 hour stay, off of the highway. Helpful & pleasant night desk clerk.

Location. Aging facility. This is in a good location, convenient to I-95 and King's Dominion. But it is old and shows its age.

Convenient to kings dominion. Could smell evidence of cigarettes been smoked in room. Most convenient to amusement park .Only hotel that offered bus drop off and pick up to park.has a 24 hour Dennie's restaurant attached to hotel.

The staff was extremely helpful, and the hotel was practically located in the amusement park we were going to. Good place to stay for going to King's Dominion. We walked across the parking lot to the amusement park.

It was right next to Kings Dominion with an attached Denny's. It was cheap. I could not get help with my bags even though I was sick and really needed help. There was no elevator. The hotel was conveniently located right next to Kings Dominion. The room was clean with basic facilities. There was wireless internet access included with the room. It was a good place to stay one night so that we could get to the park early in the morning.

The location. Price for the age. If you are not looking for anything fancy then this is the hotel. The staff & cleanliness were good but you can surely see the age on the hotel.
