Affordable, quiet, friendly, very helpful with directions etc. The complimentary breakfast could use better coffee, not so weak. Over all very enjoyable stay, pleasant surroundings and centrally located from places to visit, shop and eat.

We were dissapointed at how cold the pool was and the staff said that they could not turn it up. Too bad because we booked based on the fact they had a heated pool. The breakfast was not fresh and the milk was sour one day. The coffee, yuck. If you want a clean room, this is about all the place offers. There was no nice view and the hotel was right on the road. We did arrive during the of season and very few people were staying, but our room and the hotel was very cold. Once we turned our heat it on, it stayed warm. I would not likely stay there again.

My Boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel while vacationing in New England and we loved it! It is very new. Good Location, just off the road with lots of parking available. The beds are extremely comfortable. Lots of bathroom and room space. Pool area was also very clean and nice. INternet available and convenient. WE enjoyed the continental breakfast before heading off . Staff very helpful and friendly. CLose to everything in town. I would highly recomend this hotel

Nothing special here, room was large, but the bathroom was way too small (maybe 6' square). Hotel was not busy, but had to park far from entrance. Faucet in sink was installed backwards, so H = cold and C = hot.. not acceptable! AC Unit was noisy. I've had much worse though, the grounds are well kept, and it was a quite and comfortable place to sleep.

Staff was accommodative, room was nice with fridge and microwave. Walls were thin, could hear neighbors in initial room. Very nice stay.

Best Western has always been a great chain, this is the first time I have been disapointed. We checked in during the afternoon and hung up our belongings. Later that evening after we did some sight seeing and met with family for dinner we came back to the Inn.to shower and found the bathroom floor dirty with human hair in the corners and the one bathroom towel dirty. It was too late to call the desk. When I turned down the bed it was obvious that the "throw" had been used. The sheets appeared clean however and I spoke with the person at the desk in the a.m. He appologized and assured me the room would be clean when we returned. At 3:30 when we returned to shower before dinner it had not been touched. When we came back after dinner to go for a swim in the pool, we changed our minds. The pool appeared green and cloudy. We decided to go to bed early. To our surprize, the same "throw" was on the bed. I called the front desk. The woman I spoke with stated "it is a throw you do not rap your body in it " I quickly explained to her that I had no intention to rap in it , however I did not appreciate hvaing a blanket or throw on my bed that appeared to have "things" on it in several places. A housekeeper was then sent to change the "throw". I want to believe this was an over site but feel you should be aware.

We took a room with 2 queen beds. It was very spacious and clean. I loved the decor. My wife loved the art work and how everything in the room was designed. The bathroom was very clean. Kids loved the pool. Breakfast was pretty good. I used the fitness center as well. It was perfect for me.

I have been going to this area for over thirty years and am now bringing my children so i am very familiar with the area and would never recommend this hotel to anyone. We had tried it based on the fact that if had recently become a best western and felt that there would be consistency in the chain. What a joke!!! The level of cleanliness leaves alot to be desired. They never left enough towels, pool was so over chlorinated you practically choked going in there, breakfast was non-edible desk staff seemed to not want to be bothered with you and were basically useless. Oh I almost forgot if you have any fragrance sensitivities or asthma be sure to tell them in advance as they love to spray your room and the hallways with some sickening orange ?deodorizer ?cleaner

The hotel was quiet and clean. The pool was not maintained very well, very murky water and no lights on. The rooms are large and quite accomodating.

My room had two queen size beds, good size tv and ac worked great. Indoor pool was a great treat. Location was close to everything. No complaints at all. The optional smoking room made us feel right at home. Remember smokers are people too and do have as many rights as non-smokers.

Close to I-95. Odor in corridors. Room with 2 queen size beds, refrigerator in hutch, space for microwave (no microwave present). One floor lamp was missing bulb, faucet leaking, drain underneath sink leaking on floor. Odor in corridors. Staff friendly.

Looks brand new. Tastefully appointed. My GF is a interior designer and she exclaimed on how nicely this hotel was designed. Rooms were great, very comfortable. We loved it and will come back again next year.

Best Western in York Maine has susposedly been recently redone but you could not tell by the bathrooms which were so old as to appear dirty. The beds are placed directly in front of the air conditioners instead of across the room. Therefor, you're kept up all night by the sound of it going off and on.

My room was neat as a pin. Need more selection; with regards to restaurants. My room had this unexplained orderliness to it.

We stayed 2 weeks at Best Western York. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was more than large enough for us not to feel closed in even when it was storming (and the weather was bad 10 out of 14 days!), and I was quite impressed. In fact, on one particularly bad weather day, the housekeeping staff ducked into our room and had it finished in the short amount of time it took for us to have breakfast! The hotel is only a few miles from several beaches, and a short walk from several restaurants and trolley stops. We had a great time.

Price was reasonable for the season. Stairway closets at end of halls are tacky and cheap looking. OK for the economy traveller. Location is good for shopping at Kittery outlets, but not as close to York beaches, Portsmouth, and other attractions.
