We stayed one night after roaming Staunton's downtown area. Hotel was very clean, great location, and we knew before we made reservations that a train ran behind the hotel - we got a room away from the tracks. The front-desk clerk was very helpful and friendly, and check-in was a breeze. The room was very clean, and the bathroom had a heating light - very welcome touch! The maid left a little rubber ducky on the clean bathmat on side of the tub: corny but fun. The continental breakfast included: microwaveable omelets (avoid these, kind of grainy), muffins, single-serve cereals, milk, apple juice, orange juice, toast, bagels, coffee, hot water with a variety of teabags provided, tropical-fruit cocktail, and I probably forgot something...it was a great value, and was served from 6 or 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. There's a small pool indoors, visible from the lobby - no diving, but looked like a good place to relax. There's a nice-looking restaurant next door, a Shoney's and a McDonald's and a gas station across the road, and I-81 is about a block away. I would love to stay here again.

Great travelers hotel, right off I-81 and next to a Cracker Barrel and Shoneys. Clean rooms. Only down side was the train that passes behind the hotel, but my kids thought it was great. Only one train came by during our stay so it's not a big deal.

Staff. No lounge. Clean, staff was curteous. Room clean. Would have liked the eating area not so close to the front door.

The hotel was not a great value. And in the middle of the night a train rolled through I mean RIGHT OUTSIDE THE WINDOW!!!!!!! We had stayed in a Hilton the week end before HUGE change and cost MORE money. The elevator smelled so bad that I had to take the stairs. I was very disappointed.

Nothing train at back of hotel. Train last one 11pm first one 330am. Would not stay at this hotel with train running 20 feet from back of hotel very poor location.

Breakfast had a variety of choices, very clean and relatively quiet, friendly hotel. Very weak coffee; a busy train track immediately behind the hotel. Seating for breakfast was very limited. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay for our one night at this hotel. The rooms were clean, neat, and well provided with the little extras. The continental breakfast was more than expected with a variety of choices, however, the coffee was weak and the seating was limited. The train behind the hotel did not blow a horn as there was not a crossing. The windows would shake as it came past three times after 9:00 pm.

The facility was very clean and it had conveniences that made the stay very pleasant. The hotel certainly was a pleasant place to do that. The continental breakfast was very generous and fresh with room to sit and eat if you wanted to. The room was equipped with a refrigerator and microwave so we had a late meal in the room. This gave us more money for shopping.
