We were pleased with the cleanliness of the room which is getting to be a surprise nowadays at most inns. We rested comfortably and found the location handy to town and it proved to be a quiet location as well. No complaints!!

1st off, the 1st review by another poster doesn't appear accurate. There are no balconies nor neighbors. It's a quiet town with not a lot going on. I stayed at this Hotel for over 30 days for work. The big initial shock was trains going through town laying on their horn. The tracks is about 75 Yards from the hotel, so you hear it and it woke me up the 1st few nights. After that, we all got used to it. The rooms are nice and the beds comfortable, but the blankets were pretty light weight. The AC runs like all the time (either fan motor or actual cooling unit). TV selection is one of the best I have seen. They also have free internet (Wireless and Lan connections). No restaurants or room service in the hotel. Besides some vending machines, they have a cheap breakfast (like bagles and danishes). I think they had cereal also. They have 1 washer and Dryer and it takes to run each.

The room was clean and quaint. There was a bit of carry over noise from the main house, mostly the owners dogs. I was in the Patio room which is outside of the main house. I liked the sense of privacy it gave as this was my first B&B. The breakfast was very good and the Ben Maddox house is walking distance to a multitude of dining options. The pool area could definately be improved, it felt like being in my friend's back yard with kids toys strewn about. Do Not go to this place if you have any animal allergies. Aside from dogs, there was a litter of kittens, and an avairy of birds.
