Stayed in the Best Western Imperial Hotel Fort William on Sunday 21 June 2009. We are fans of the Best Western Hotels and were not disappointed in the Imperial. Very comfortable room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the bar was first class and would not hesitate in staying here again and will highly recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Fort William.

Fort William AccommodationWhilst we booked a special room over the internet we were disappointed with the small size of the room and experienced an average Indian evening meal in the bar. Likewise the breakfast was just average and the service at breakfast was nothing special.

This hotel was clean, modern with recently refurbished rooms and the staff were pleasant. Food was god and quickly served. this hotel was a welcome end to the West Highland Way walk/slog.

Imperial Hotel Fort WilliamThe Hotel is located well with nice views over the water, very close to the town center and easy to find. We arrived a day early at 11pm and the hotel was able to help with the extra night accomodation without notice making the stay 2 nights in total. The hotel seems to employ foreign workers only as I never saw an English/Scottish person during the 2 nights we stayed, they were very helpfull at all times. The room had a great view over the water however it had various stains and damage to the decor. We didn't feel very comfortable in this room, possibly the cleanliness and presentation caused this feeling. The food was the main let down. The portions were small with little choice from a poor menu. The breakfast was close to been the worst 'fry up' I have had. Overall this hotel didn't offer my wife and I value for money but the service from the staff was perfect.

Room was excellent. Breakfast was disappointing it would have been better with a greater choice of items, if served hot rather than luke warm and the toast was thin dry and too crispy.

We shall return to the HotelBased on our stay, we shall return to the Hotel on our next walking trip to Scotland. The manager, in particular, was very helpful and attempted to meet our requirements. When the main meal arrived with source, he made certain that the replacement did not have the source on the fish. Incidently, the trout was prepared just as fine as possible.

Our room was on the 2nd Floor but there was no lift in the hotel. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Totally inadequateHotel was advertised on Laterooms as being disabled accessible. It was not. No lift, lots of stairs. My Dad is disabled, so we couldn't stay. The only reason this didn't get a lower ratting was that the clerk heelped arrange a room at another hotel. They still charged me for one night, though.

Imperial HotelParking is poor, only 6 or so spaces. There is a council car park near by but its pay and display from 0800 to 1800 so you have to get up early to put a ticket on your car. The hotel room was noisy because the door was a good half inch short and the cleaners were in very early hoovering right outside. Not the best place to stay in Fort William!

Imperial Hotel Fort WilliamExcellent Hotel, staff very welcoming especially reception and management, hotel location perfect for town centre but hotel parking a bit restricted. Food was excellent and reasonably priced.

Imperial Fort WilliamVery pleasant and helpful staff. Food and presentation very good. Car parking very limited. Decor and windows could do with attention, although I understand that renovations are in hand. Overall. a pleasant stay.

We were allocated room 3 which was a lovely room however it was very cold and much colder that the corridorsI don't think the room had been used since Christmas and was very cold, I believe the heating was only turned on just before we got there, the windows were completely covered in condensation. The radiator in the bathroom did not work!the razor socket light did not workWe

This is a great wee hotel if you are only sleeping there ( as we did ). The bathroom wasn't the cleanest, the carpets are worn but the room was clean and soon warmed up when we carnked the heating up. One disappointment was the HUGE sign outside for \"all riooms £50.00\" we paid £65! Oh beakfast was really great and the waiting staff were lovely.

Some members of staff were very helpful, especially Lorraine at the bar. Some members of staff had difficulty in understanding what was said to them, and vice verse. On the whole it is a very good hotel. The staff were very friendly and always had a smile for you. I would have no hesitation in staying at the Imperial Hotel Again.

Paid for an upgrade to an executive double and as on web site all rooms were discribed as spaciouse I was very dissaponted with our shoe box room.Old furnishings etc tired decor.Dissapointing accomadation and will not stay again.

Room was supposed to be executive, large with good sizes bathroom.1. There was no TV remote, when I asked I was told other guests had stolen it - unacceptable response.2. The kitchen extractor runs right outside the room and is horribly noisy until almost 10 at night and from just after 6 in morning - unacceptable for any room not just executive.3. Breakfast not available until at least 7:30 - unacceptable if you have an early start.4. Reception doesn't open until 8 in morning, no use if you have an early start so bill has to be paid night before - unacceptable practice.5. No receipt issued for stay, I had to ask - unacceptable practice.
