Nice motel in an isolated area. Very clean and comfortable and located within walking distance of the entire downtown area.

I needed top restaurant ,and I did. I found nothing to not like, My grandson and I just needed rest and didn't look for. It was okay. I didn't look for flaws, too tired to care.

The pool. Waited 35minutes to check out. Maids sweep dirt from 2nd floor into pool area.

It was where we were going. It was very 60's style and had nothing particularly memorable. Okay for a night's flop. Wouldn't want to stay there longer. Not many alternatives in Garberville.

Excellent free breakfast, excellent free cheese and wine tasting daily. A great stay for the price. One of the best free breakfasts I have found offered in a very pleasant setting, and daily free cheese and wine tasting is exceptional offer. Location is perfect for Redwoods vacation for families or couples, very nice pool and hot tub, well kept grounds, restaurants etc in easy walking distance, staff wasfriendly and helpful, very nice rooms/clean and comfortable. Have traveled all over the world, and this hotel is comparable to hotels and extras I have experienced and much pricier hotels. I never have bothered to write a recommendation in the past, but this hotel deserves a highest all-around recommendation.

This hotel has a reasonable complimentary breakfast, and we stayed in a room with 3 queens for our family, which made it nice to be together. Our "suite" had only one bathroom, and was pretty minimal for the price. The best part of this hotel for our family was the complimentary breakfast in the morning. There was an adequate array of foods for our crew, and it surely is convenient and saves money to have this available. One of the real headaches here was the check-in. When the girl at the desk finally got around to us, after taking 2 phone reservations while we waited, it took her less than 30 seconds to get us checked in. However, we had been driving all day, and with a family of 5, you aren't happy to sit in a lobby at 10 pm with tired children, waiting while the girl at the front desk takes 2 phone reservations and all their information while you wait. Although we arrived at 10, we couldn't get checked in until close to 10:30. When she finally hung up, she had derogatory remarks to make about the people she was talking to on the phone, and I thought it was very unprofessional. I would have thought she would at least be apologetic for making us wait while she handled these phone reservations, but much better to put the phone on 30 second hold to take care of the people in front of her. The accommodations were adequate. The room looked older and dated. I found and killed an ugly spider in the bathroom. Beds were not especially comfortable, but do-able. Although we had 2 rooms, the separate bed was in the room which did not have a bathroom, so in order to use it, we had to go into the boys' room (the room with 2 beds), cross through it, and to the front area where the bathroom is. We were kept awake in our room by a heater/fan unit that rattled all night. We told the lady in the morning, in hopes it will be repaired. These are very old fans, though, and I don't know how convinced I am that the problem will be fixed.

Location, comfort, wine & cheese tasting was a plus. We enjoyed our stay because of the location to the Redwoods. The breakfast provided was more than adequate for our family.

Dirty, prior travelers soap left in shower, filthy carpets, overall filthy. Do not stay in this hotel, very unclean, filthy carpets, other travelers soap left in shower, could not have my grandbaby walk on carpet barefoot, her feet came out black, overall very disappointed. The lady at the desk was complaining about all the bad travelers. Overall I couldn't give this a rating of more than 1, if that awful, we checked out early after spraying everything down with Lysol the night before, a waste of money.

The employees. We did not like our room so they moved us. Comfortable and friendly.
