The Best Western Port Clinton is right in the hub of everything. It is within walking distance to quite a few restaurants and stores. The personnel working there is very friendly and the room was well taken care of. The room cost is comparably low for the area. The Continental breakfast is quite satisfactory and the beds were comfortable. It was nice that there was a table in the room where you could read, eat, etc.

The Best Western was a lot larger than we expected. Besides the 2 double beds there was a sleeper sofa. We would have had room for a few extra people. We stayed here for a wedding at Put-in-Bay. We could have doubled up for sleeping if we had known this ahead of time.

Friendly staff-clean hotel-good location. Parking lot was covered with ice-no attempt to sand or salt. The accommodations were good. The rooms clean and the staff very friendly.

Overall satisfied with my stay. The staff was professional, couteous, and helpful. I did think the room was somewhat overpriced. Also, the rear door lock did not work making it a little difficult to come and go with my luggage. 7 6.5 out of 10.

Jacuzzi suite was large and comfortable. Extremely friendly manager at front counter. Parking lot and sidewalks sheets of ice, no salt anywhere. No elevator to second floor. Was priced just right for the type of hotel it is. Spacious rooms, free internet, surrounded by restaurants.

It was close to the lake. Too far off the freeway for bad cable and a dirty room more like a super budget hotel. All we wanted to do was get to the room have a swim in the pool and watch Monday night foot ball. The pool was closed and the 1 channel that did not come in was the only one with foot ball. They did not make any attempt to correct the issue, just paused their phone call to their friend to tell us that it did not work.

It was cheap. It was in a very depressed area. We were there for a wedding. The hotel itself was clean, and the people were very friendly. It is just on a busy street in a depressed area. It was quiet though.

Had a free shuttle to jet express. Room was not ready when promised nor the foldaway bed delivered when promised. When we went to check in for 3 PM check in time our room was not ready, had to wait for it to be ready. At check in requested a foldaway; however, we had to call again at 1 AM because it was never delivered like they said.

The price. Photo and description of hotel online is deceiving. Odd location directly behind a gas station, tiny outdoor pool in front, very small hotel, staff not outgoing and friendly, just indifferent.

Convenient to downtown area. Not enough public access to the back of the building. Should be able to get to the back rooms through the lobby. This hotel was clean, the staff was friendly. I way disappointed with the breakfast selections. I feel there is a need to be able to access the rooms on the back of the building from the front lobby.

Very good location. It is near all the local attractions. The hotel is nested between a gas station in front and homes in back. It's a good place to stay if you are visiting the islands. The rooms are clean and spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the staff is friendly.

Location. Everything else. The first room they gave us was very dirty and smelled like a damp basement. The whole room smelled like mold. We asked to change rooms and they did not have any open. We ended up next door at a Super 8. All they had left was a smoking room which smelled bad but was better than the mold so we took it. The next night we went back to the Best Western where we were given a different room which was fine. At midnight a bunch of small children and their parents decided they wanted to go swimming and spent the next 2 hours screaming and splashing outside our window. I tried to call the front desk and actually went down there but there was no one on duty. Same thing the next day when I tried to check out--could not find anyone that worked at the front desk and after a half hour gave up and left. This is a tourist town so some hotels think that you'll put up with anything because there is no where else to stay. This one gives Best Western a bad name.
