expensive for what it offers. I stayed at a similar place in Florence for 30 euros less. otherwise no complaints except for the ongoing rennovations so half the building is covered with tarpauline so you cannot see outside the window. the concierge was very kind and changed rooms with a window looking outside, however it was the backstreets [better than nothing].I would recommend this place simply because of its cnovenience and location.

Great location, nice hotel, all good except our room was in front and air conditioning wasn't on yet, it was April, so when we opened window, it was noisy at night. Ask for a room in the back! Great location!! Easy to find from orbitz directions. Would recommend it.

The hotel was easy to find and sits just behind St Marks square so really convenient to everything. Building work is going on but didn't disturb us much. great breakfast choice and friendly staff.

This was my fourth trip to Venice and fourth hotel..The BW Montecarlo was hands down the best of all the hotels. Was not sure when booking as I was also booking for friends but we all were not disappointed. Breakfast was very good as was the service provide by everyone, They made reservations to several restauratnts we were familier with no complaints. This is the place to stay unless you are looking for a very high end hotel

It was very close to St.Marks Square and was a very reasonable price, the service was excellent, breakfast good.the bathrooom was justa little small but adequate.

Hotel was clean and staff was very helpful. Breakfast included with room was very nice. Our room was on the fourth floor and my husband had to walk hunched over a little to get down the hall. The other floors were not like that. Even though it was quite cool outside, our room was very stuffy and warm. No airconditioning because the radiators were on. We turned the radiator in our room off, but the heat was an issue. Management gave us a portable fan to use to help the situation. If we opened the window, the mosquitoes were vicious. I would recommend this hotel, but would strongly advise that you would request the lower floors.

I had a problem checking in as I had left my passport in another hotel on the mainland. The reception staff were fantastic and sorted the problem out without me having to travel back. The customer service in this hotel really is excellent.

The hotel is 3 min. to San Marco Square but not very close to any public transport so be careful with heaavy luggage. We went in mid November and we had to ask 3 times to turn on the central heating. The room was small and poorly lighted and looks rather cheap. Venise is great but this hotel is far from Best Western's standards.

Hotel was an excellent choice for our two night stay in Venice. It is quaint, in a very convenient location and the hotel staff were very accommodating. The rooms are small, but comfortable and ours had a nice modern bath room. The breakfast they serve every morning is most enjoyable. I would certainly stay here again.

Perfect location for a 'reasonable' priced hotel in Venice. Couldn't be closer to St. Mark's Square. Considering what is available in Venice and the prices you pay, this is a very good bargain. Rooms are better than most in this area at higher prices. Breakfast is good. Staff is helpful and efficient. Would stay here again without question.

After a 12 day cruise we spent 2 days and nights in Venice at this hotel. It exceeded our expectations. Our room was beautiful and immaculate and we had a small balcony that we could step out on and watch the hustle and bustle of daily life. It was convenient to everything and the staff were all very friendly and most helpful with every question we had for them. There was even a complimentary boat ride to and from the Murano Glass factory which was a lovely surprise. Breakfast in the morning had a great many things to choose from accompanied by cappuccino. We could not have asked for a better place to stay and surely made the end of our vacation stress free. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting beautiful Venice.

The hotel staff was wonderful. The front desk staff was very fluent in English. The staff was very helpful with directions and locations. The room was ready prior to the stated checkin time which was really appreciated as we had arrived from a transaltlantic flight. The room had a small refrigerator and was fairly small as we had expected in a European hotel room. We choose the room option that included breakfast and there was a good selection and hot items that included eggs both of the days that we stayed. It was convenient to St. Mark's Square, but being Venice the streets are sometimes closer to alleys in width. I would happily return to this hotel.

We loved the Montecarlo. We stayed for two nights of our honeymoon. This hotel is less than a 5 minute walk from St Mark's Square. It was great because the square fills up in the afternoon so your best chance to see the sites with no line is first thing in the morning., which is easy when you are right there. The staff is very friendly and speaks fluent English and our free breakfast consisted of a variety of meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, several different pastries, yogurt, and juices. The bed was a little hard and the room was small, but very clean and very quiet. We were able to walk everywhere from this hotel, and getting there from the airport was easy...we took the motoscafi to the St Mark's Square stop and walked. Very expensive hotel but the location was worth it.

The location cannot be beat. It's right in the middle of everything -- very close to St. Mark's Square. The staff was extremely helpful and breakfast was pretty good. The elevator is tiny and rooms are a bit cramped but that's Venice!!
