Facing one of the most fascinating squares in town, it is surrouded by ancient buildings of the XVI Century. The Opera House "Carlo Felice" and Palazzo Ducale, seat of the most important exhibitions, are just round the corner therefore like the characteristic antique shops and even the famous Aquarium is only few minutes away walking through the typical old town "carrugi".

The breakfast buffet, served on the ground floor is truly appreciated from guests of all taste also thanks to the freshness of the fruit salad, the typical genoese "focaccia" and the homemade marmelades.

This hotel was ideally placed for wandering through the historic centre of Genova, and only a short walk to the port and marina. The hotel room was clean and funtional, and although on a busy street traffic noise was not a problem with the window shut (there is air con for the summer months). There was a good choice of cereal, fruit and pastries for breakfast and the staff could not have been more helpful - their restaurant recommendations were certainly appreciated! I would definitely return to Genova, and would stay here again.

Best Western Hotel Metropoli is a very nicely kept and newly renovated small hotel in Genoa, Italy. The staff is very accommodating, the breakfast is lovely, the location excellent - in the heart of Genoa's Old City - walking distance to everywhere, including the pier and famous Genoa aquarium. Thr room is small, but comfortable, and the hotel suited our needs very well for our 3 day stay in Genoa.

Stayed there only for a couple of nights for business purposes but the position was excellent, central and everything within walking distance. The service is one on one, very professional but friendly at the same time and they give great advices for restaurants! Overall very pleasant experience, to be repeated as soon as possible!

Excellent the location, great hopitality from the staff but most of all the coffee/tea maker in the room!!
