The Hotel Marmorata, a former paper mill dating from the 15th century, is located in a secluded coastal inlet two kilometres from Amalfi. The 41 guestrooms feature a nautical-themed decor with antique style lamps, armchairs and bed fabrics. All rooms have sea views and include air conditioning, satellite television, minibars, safes, and wireless Internet access. The nautical theme extends to the breakfast room, which has polished wood floors and windows running the length of the room. Lunch and dinner are served at the restaurant L'Antica Cartiera which specialises in regional seafood dishes, and where guests can dine al fresco during the summer months. The hotel has a terrace carved out of the face of the Ravello cliffs and overlooking the sea. Guests can also take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool, and enjoy use of a bathing area which can be reached by a private access path. The hotel can accommodate and provide catering for both business meetings and social gatherings. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can provide information on local attractions and assist with organising day trips, while wireless Internet access is available for guests who wish to plan their own sightseeing itineraries. Day trips can be taken to Amalfi with its cathedral, two kilometres from the hotel.
