I was there with my parents and brother. We went to Museums and did lots of sight seeing. The staff at "Best Western 2000" were friendly and despite language barrier they took care of everything we asked them to do. Hotel was very clean. We had Buffet breakfast everyday. It was moderate but nice and clean. This Hotel is located one street away from all the shops and restaurants. Across the street form thte hotel was a little grocey place that we bought water from. Also taxi station was there infront of the grocery store. Anytime we wanted taxi, all I had to do was to show picture of a museum to the driver and that was it. Watch out if you are not smoker. Every one smoked there, in the restaurant, in the street, in the stores. We took lots of taxis to get around but if you figure out their bus system it is very convenient and tenth of the price. If you ride taxi make sure you have lots of change otherwise they give themselves a healthy tip before giving you, your change back. Don't be afraid to walk around. Things are closer than you might think. People there were extremely nice and ready to help. We went to restaurant every night. For four people I paid $30.00 in a great restaurant. I could have paid $20.00/person easy for that food and wait staff in USA. I had fun in Ankara. I am planning to go back to Turkey and visit Istanbul this time. I enjoyed my trip. I flew Turkish Air, I highly recomment it. Their staff were friendly, Plane was CLEAN and food was GREAT.
