The location. Under construction. It should not have been rented out during construction. Constant noise. Swimming pool not operational. Dust, dirt, workers.

The staff was great. It was supposed to be a 3 1/2 star Renaissance Hotel, now turning into a Best Western. The staff was great. The hotel is under construction which did not mention, nor did they mention it was not a 3 1/2 star but a 2 star.

Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Undergoing renovations.

Staff was very professional. The hotel was under complete renovations. Nothing was available to use. Restaurant open for breakfast only. Lobby area covered in plastic. This hotel was under complete renovations. The water was shut off on day two of my stay from 9 am-3 pm. All areas in the lobby were covered in plastic or paper as construction was under way.The staff was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

Price and location. Ongoing renovations. Good hotel for the price ($38 before fees and taxes; $50 & change after), and location (downtown).Hotel used to be a Radisson, and is under renovation. Has Sleep Number beds. Maybe a good thing, but I don't like the brand/style. Space in room was wasted, as there was nothing from the night stand to the window (around 10 feet). Ethernet provided free (YAY!). Small TV for type of hotel. No fridge in room. Carafe was missing from coffee maker.Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The room was very nice and very comfortable. Free parking was not very convenient. Very nice accomodations in down town High Point. The hotel would be the perfect place to stay if you are in town for the furniture fair.

New sleep number beds. Have to park in public parking next door. A great stay! Currently under renovation, but if you requested a newly refurbished room, they were great. Good sized with couch. Many had good views. Helpful staff. A wonderful hotel!

Price. Renovation. This was not a three star hotel.

My initial room was not standard and they moved me. My first room had a built in smoke smell. The hotel had an additional parking fee. My initial room had a strong smoke smell however, the staff allowed me to switch. My stay was great but not excellent.

It was clean, modern and cozy. No complaints. The desk clerk was very friendly. The hotel was quiet and very clean.

Check out! Condescending staff; mold on bathroom ceiling; clogged sink & tub. No ice maker on 4 out of 7 floors. Very unpleasant stay. When I first arrived I was placed in a disabled room, that had a foul odor, and disable supports on the toilet. I found this odd, considering I didn't request such a room at check in.
Date of Stay:
May, 2009
Front desk staff were very helpful. Toilet needed repairs, felt like in a abandoned neighborhood.

Desk and housekeeping staff were very pleasant.

The front desk staff. The room.
Date of Stay:

It had a spacious room and comfortable beds. There was no coffee shop nearby. I liked the decor, lobby and the room, but the lack of available food and coffee left a lot to be desired. The mediocre hotel restaurant had very limited hours and selection, and it was the only place within walking distance.
Date of Stay:
April, 2009
The front desk staff. No official hotel sign. Great hotel in a wonderful location. The only downside was that it did not have any official signs because it used to be the Radisson and now it is the Hotel High Point and they have not received a new sign.
Date of Stay:
April, 2009
Very comfortable beds. Very limited services/limited restaurant hours.
