Not great. You couldn't swing a cat in the room ! Although the service was ok. I was very disappointed to find that even though the hotel say they have a resturant it is only used for breakfast and not dinner. They should rebrand themselves as a B&B NOT a hotel. Also there was no air conditioning and it was baking hot in every area of the hotel, my room was almost unbearable. The sink and the tiles in the bathroom were cracked and the room itself just looked shabby. I will not be staying there again.

The common areas were very small.

My wife is disabled and we had a free upgrade from our booking to be nearer the lift which turned out to be a room at the front overlooking the sea!

Hotel in general was of a good standard. I thought the price of parking was a bit cheeky as they charge £15 over night however if you park in public car park it is £15 for 24 hours. When you book out at 11, you are not allow to leave your car in their car park and would have to pay again if you plan to stay in Brighton for the rest of the day...would work out cheaper if you just parked in the public car park which is only about a three minute walk from the hotel. We stayed in a standard double room, it was very hot when we stayed and the hotel staff provided a fan within minutes of requesting for one through room service. The bathroom was not of brilliant quality. There was a single shower cubicle with a limescaled showerhead and a unhygenic non slip shower mat. It was in general need of a good clean and the insides of the window was filthy.

Desk staff and waiters were courteous and helpful. Our room creaked and groaned whenever the elevator was used, which kept me awake until about 4 am.

Decoration was tired, bathroom damp, room small.

Very averageStaff are above average, but everything else is strictly average. Room ok, but tv didn't work. Spa function in bathroom also didn't work. Room overall clean but had seen better days.Breakfast is so, so, make your own toast, small portions. Cearels, fruit, jucice available but not much variety of what there is.Finally WIFI connection was excellent and is probably the best thing about the hotel.Very unlikely to stay again, unless I get a very good deal and unlikely to recommend to friends either.

good locationThis was a friendly well located hotel. We were looking for something by the sea and within walking distance of all the local attrractions which this was. The room was clean and the staff were helpful. We paid a little extra for a side sea view-which was worth it as this seemd to be a slightly larger room as well. Only downside was that the hairdryer nozzle seemed to be melting as i tried to use the hairdryer so perhaps take your own! Apart from that it was a great stay

Clean accommodation at a good priceRooms are pretty basic and bathroom was tiny but considering what we paid it was a reasonable standard of accommodation and we couldn't fault the staff and the food

Brighton hotel stopoverHotel excellent value for money. Room clean, but basic - in need of modernisation - no shower or overbath attachment. Great views, however, made up for this. Food good. Pleasant and helpful staff. Downside - car park was full and we had to leave car off site overnight, which was quite a distance from hotel as I have mobility problems and also a worry for security reasons as our car was full with holiday gear, on view to all in a 24 hr car park, as hotel stay was a stopover on our way to our holiday destination.

The Best Western Brighton HotelI really like this hotel, it is right on the seafront, and has a certain lived in charm. The room was absolutely fine, with en-suite shower and even a sea view. The staff were very friendly and called a taxi which arrived in about 2 minutes when I asked.

Poor roomsCan't believe anyone would pay £200 rack price for the poorly furnished rooms and whilst we paid much less I think it misleads one somewhat.

Very disappointedWe stayed at the hotel for 1 night for my boyfriends birthday. I felt that the £135.00 we paid for the \"Superior Double Room\" was a little excessive. We came under the impression that it might be something a little more special. On arrival, we found the door into the room was a struggle to get in and out of because it was getting stuck. This morning, prior to checking out we actually got trapped inside the room, having to ring down to your reception to ask for some assistance. We got the impression from the staff member that she was aware the door was a little tricky to open. When checking out, we mentioned to the receptionists about the shower being very noisy, like a drilling, and the plug hole not draining properly. The gentleman then responded with a laugh. We then told them about the incident with the door and were simply asked our room number. We were very unimpressed with the service at the reception. However, the staff in both the restaurant and bar were friendly enough.

Good Location, Nice staff, left feeling happyMy friend and I booked this Hotel almost as a last resort as we realised we had no way to get home to London after a concert and could find no where elseWe paid a little more than we would have liked but I do feel it was worth it. The room was lovely and it was in a great location. The quality of the Hotel added to the enjoyment of the evening.
