An excellent base for when you arrive late or have an early flight. Clean room and very good food. Excellent value! Very efficient public transport system into central Barcelona. But very hard to find. Directions could be clearer. Located in industrial area very close to airport but no signs.

The Best Western Hotel Alfa Aeropuerto Barcelona is outstanding...the best we¨ve stayed in on an extensive trip in UK, Europe and we felt v lucky to get it at the late rooms price. Staff really excellent, room lovely in short eveything great. a little out of the centre but easy to use regular bus service.

A great place to stay when you have to stay a night between flights, the shuttle bus is a terrific plus.

We stayed here because it was supposed to be close to the airport and have a shuttle so we could make an early flight. However, it is not as close as the website says, and the shuttle does not run early enough. They did not respond promptly to emails (although they did eventually respond). When you call the number you speak to an operator from the chain of hotels, and not someone from the actual hotel. Of course everything was overpriced, but it really didn't seem worth it. There was NOWHERE you could walk to AT ALL, so once you get there, you are trapped. Half of the items on their snack menu they were out of. The pool is a bit dodgy.

I do not recommend the Best Western Hotel Alfa Aeropuerto Barcelona due to the strange, remote location, which I expected based on other reviews, but more importantly the room was not clean and the bathroom reeked of mold and bleach. The shuttle to the airport is not available during night hours, and taxi surcharges made the transit to and from the airport extremely and unecessarily costly. I had a long layover in Barcelona with a late arrival and an early departure and was hoping for a comfortable room and some sleep. I wish I had spent the 7 hours on a chair at the airport.

Never in my life have I stayed in a hotel in such an absurd location. It is in the middle of huge commercial area full of industrial plants, entrepos (storage areas) and thousands of large trucks. It is not only very far from the city center but there is almost not a single store where one could buy some foodstuff or else. I do not at all recommend to anybody to stay in the Best Western Hotel Alfa Aeropuerto Barcelona even though the hotel itself (as the building) fulfills the criteria to be a hotel. The spanish personnel are almost totaly indifferent to their customers' requests. They hardly open their mouth to answer questions. They seem like they do not like the job they're doing. That kind a behaviour, however, was quite widespread all over Spain (not only peculiar to this hotel's staff). Maybe because they have lost their excitement to attract tourists as tens of millions of them still go to Spain. Alfa Hotel should definitely be moved to a more civilized (and descent) part of the city. It is a crime to send people to stay in the middle of an industrial area. Have you (Venere.Com) not ever cheked the location before starting to market this hotel on the internet. If you haven't done so thus far, I would highly recommend you to send one of your representatives to see the location of the hotel. Then, I'm sure you will drop it from your list. Otherwise, your customers may drop you from their list. I regret having stayed there and having paid a lot of money that didn't worth at all. Best regards Mustafa Kibaroglu

Nice hotel but quite a distance to downtown. There are no restaurants or shopping nearby.[ The hotel does have a snack bar and restaurant on site ] They do offer two shuttles a day to the city [13:00 and 16:00 ] but you need to find your own way back. A good value if you need to be close to the airport for a early morning flight.

Although the hotel is far from the city the airport and train station are close by, the shuttle service provided by the hotel gets you there in about 10-15mins and a train into the city takes approx 25mins. The room and bathroom clean and quiet.Would stay there again. If coming from the airport (like we did)the shuttle bustop is to the right as you come out of the airport and a walk of 5 or so minutes (bus stop indicates the hotel, however check with hotel re arrival time and pickup as you may need to ring hotel for the shuttle service (shuttles run every 1/2 hour).

It is very close to the airport and a free shuttle so it is very convient for coming and going. However, the restaurant/bar workers were very rude and understaffed-not a good experience for us. So, if you are looking for a place close to the airport just to sleep this is your place.
