I liked the free computer in the lobby. It was very beneficial. Our room seemed to have a musty odor. Conveniently located. Staff very helpful. Shuttle service was great. Room did have a musty smell, not sure what that was, but the beds were comfortable. Children loved the swimming pool, not a super big pool, but big enough to relax in.

Chose this hotel because of proximity to airport, 24 hour airport shuttle and complementary breakfast. What a mistake! The room entry door (outside entry to parking lot) was misaligned and light came through one side of jamb. One chilly windy night the draft was pretty big. Electrical outlet for the desk lamp was loose and didn't work. Shock.fire hazard. Had to use another outlet. Towel rack over toilet was coming out of the wall. Rug was filthy. Breakfast was lousy. Eggs were wierd little discs about twice as thick as a quarter. Looked like they came from a container. Never enough hot food. Housekeeping was slipshod and inconsistent. Don't think our carpet was ever vaccumed. If I had to stay near the airport again, I would try other nearby hotels first.

Dear Sir or Madam: though this motel has, by no means, 4star accommodations, the rooms are very dingy and run down as is the lobby. I needed to change my room upon arrival as I was given a room with a "handicapped" bathroom rather than a full tub and lamps lthat didn't work. The front desk staff was friendly but not overly so. The free breakfast was so-so and the computer available for free internet access was in poor condition. The pool was not heated (even slightly) so was too cold to take my morning swim I was looking forward to. Not sure I'd recommend this place to anyone

Our experience here was horrible. We asked for nonsmoking and were put in smoking with no option to change. The smoke alarm was hanging by a wire out of the ceiling. We requested to have the cruise package and they put us down for a fly package. Then when we asked about the shuttle to the cruise that comes with our package they told us it would be an extra 60. I should have known when I requested the confirmation to be email to me and it never was. The lady at the front desk was RUDE and a smart butt. She said she made the reservation, remembered everything said in the conservation and that we were wrong. She must have a mega memory to remember a conservation from 3 month ago, or maybe she just don't make many reservations. She said we could not speak to a manager because one was not on duty at the time. When we were checking in there was another guest that had a similiar problem. I would not recommed this hotel to anyone.

Clean, though did not have the smoking room. Clean, neat, efficient. Was a little disappointed in the hot breakfast, but I guess not better or worse than most.

Seriously, we did have a better experience staying at the Best Wesdtern than we did at the Hyatt Regency on the River the last visit we made. Jacksonville is a beautiful place to visit. We were most impressed

My husband and I, along with our 2 young children stayed here the night before our flight home. Our room was located at the back side of the hotel. The room was very tiny. We heard water running at different times throughout the night, thought something was leaking. It was just the room next door. There were construction workers outside in the parking lot sitting on their trucks drinking all night. There was also a confrontation between two men in the late afternoon with loud cursing that my kids were exposed to. The hotel served its purpose- but far from good.

This hotel is a good buy. The maintenance is not perfect, but the building and rooms are clean and well-maintained. Staff is amazing! They are very helpful and polite and they all speak English!

Quite, spacious and clean. Small parking lots. I enjoyed staying in the hotel. The staff was very professional and the room was clean and inviting. I also like that it was a very quite atmosphere.

Free hot breakfast. Some of reception people inexperienced. Overall, this hotel was a nice place to stay and was clean. The hot breakfast in the morning for free was nice. Also the shuttle service was prompt and nice. I would stay there again.

Friendliness of the staff. Free hot breakfast far better than expected. The room was clean with a great picture on the TV. The free hot breakfast surpassed our expectations. Check out was quick. Great motel! I have already recommended it!

It was clean and well supplied. The rooms were very nice, clean, with amenities;such as, cable TV, microwave, refrigerator, movies on demand, coffee, hair dryer, etc.

"This vacation was my first to visit the East Coast, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The hotel staff was superb, courteous, friendly, and all around helpful. They called our first night there and asked if the room was all right, and if we needed anything. The room was clean and everything was in working order. All in all we had a great 5 days there!"

Proximity to restaurants. Outside access to rooms. Very pleasant stay; great location near the airport and a variety of restaurants; on-demand shuttle service to the airport; clean, attractive room with cable TV. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I got a handicapped room so maybe this is why but we got only a shower and no bath tub. But the shower I wouldn't use without my flip flops. And the pool needed to be cleaned better. The service/desk help was EXCELLANT!!
