Date of Stay: November, 2008

Plenty of handicap-accessible rooms and large outdoor area for pets and exercising. No Shampoo in room and no continental breakfast. Also, there's a train nearby, that honked it's horn every hour. The comfort and star rating of this motel should reflect the service. There wasn't any shampoo stocked in my room and there was a train near the back of the motel that ran every hour during the night, honking its horn and disturbing my sleep, even with the room fan sound.

We made reservations 3 weeks in advance. We reserved a King smoking room. We were told that we would have a sofa and work area. Upon arrival at the hotel we were informed that they gave our room away (we arrived early afternoon). We would have to take a room with 2 queens. We asked to be upgraded to a suite but the only ones available were non-smoking. We told them we would take the suite and they said it would be * dollars more a night. Our company would not pay that much for a room so we took the double. The room decor is horrid. There was not a sofa and the chair that was in the room was covered in vinyl. The mattresses are totally worn out and the bedspreads have seen their better day. The shower leaked and when I wiped up the water from the floor the towel was black. The flies were terrible. There is a train that runs right behind the hotel around the clock - horn blowing so loud all night. They empty the dumpster at the restaurant on premises at 3 am. There is a truck stop right across the street. The pool was filthy. Green algae and hadn't been cleaned since we arrived. The cleaning staff does not vacuum your room every day. The bathroom is very small. No continental breakfast. Needless to say, we were downgraded on our room and received no discount. Save yourself the torture - stay at the Hampton.

The room was basically fine. However, there was a table and lamp only on one side of the bed. Had to drag the desk chair over to the corner to hold clock, book, drink, or whatever. The refrigerator was too small even for a six-pack of water bottles, let alone the leftovers from the ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL TIMBERLINE RESTAURANT ON THE PREMISES. Huge meals of delicious food of many varieties - breakfast, lunch and dinner - pancakes were larger than dinner plates!! The pool was nice and the grand-kids had a great time. The hook on the back of the bathroom door was by virtue of its design, practically useless. More hangers would have been appreciated.

The roomwas ill lit, but that hid the dingy 70s decor and general dust and dirt. The bed was uncomfortable and the bath tiny. Not worth an advance reservation.

This PET FRIENDLY hotel was a relaxing haven for a couple of weary travelers as we relocated from Oklahoma to Idaho. The facilities are beautiful with a wonderful park behind and a nice view of the mountains. The have an on-site restaurant and what looks like a convention center but we were not able to avail ourselves of either of these. I do wish they had coffee available in the lobby. A continental breakfast would have been nice. Doors are all exterior access but it's not a problem. The rooms were nice with a bit of decor fitting with the outside architecture.

Friendly and efficient staff with a nice reception area including internet. Beds very uncomfortable. Best Western High Country is conveniently accessible to main roads and Interstate. Even so, we found it quiet and also clean. The only drawback was that the beds in our unit most definitely need replacing.

Very nicely kept up. Hotel was great. Then when we checked out they charged us a wrong amount for an extra day and we had to call management from our home to straighten it out because reception didn't know how to fix it.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. None. The rooms were basic, but very comfortable. Jeremiah's, the associated restaurant, was exceptional. The location is a little far out for Downtown Ogden, but is still reasonably convenient.

The park behind the hotel was very pretty. The trains going by all night and the rooms were small. Not impressed with the small rooms. The fold out bed was comfortable for my kids but an adult would not sleep well on it. The trains going by all night and honking were very distracting.

It had a couch to sit on in the room. The pool was closed. It had a restaurant in the same parking lot that had great food. The rooms were clean and plenty of room to move around so you didn't feel cramped.

Free access to a PC with Internet in lobby Ran out of hot water; no tea available in lobby. Proximity to freeway and major street convenient, but not enough sound insulation made it noisy. Window heat/ac units seemed underpowered. Lobby offers free coffee & hot chocolate but not tea. Plumbing problems included hot/cold reversed in shower, not enough hot water, sink plug not properly installed. Restaurant was very nice, good food, good service, unusual gifts in shop. Not enough parking for hotel guests when restaurant is busy.

It was convenient to the highway. It was shabby, the bed was really bad, overall gloomy. This hotel was drab and the staff seemed tired. I waited for 10 minutes to be seated for breakfast in the restaurant. When I called the front desk, the button that said "front desk", led to a sleeping woman in room 110. All in all, I was very happy to pack up and leave.

I liked the classiness of the hotel. Very professional. Hot tub/spa was small and cramped. Excellent service and appearance. I was not expecting anything fancy, but was pleasantly surprised with what we received.
