This hotel gives a unique good feeling the minute you walk into the lobby. The rooms are a bit scattered around, but the walk to the room is lined with great clean architecture and great landscaping. There are a lot of stairs to climb, but elevators are available. Our room was quite large with vaulted ceilings and a nice little hiltop view of old town San Diego.

I liked the short walk to Old Town & 2 mi bike ride to Sea World. $12 to park at the hotel and $5 additional Hotel Fee. Very nice hotel overall. We had a great room with an awesome view for a good price. We didn't go in the pool (weather) but it looked nice and relaxing. Old Town is a bit of a novelty and I was over it quick, but a nice area to walk around and great restaurants. Overall it was a great hotel and good price.

This hotel has started to fall apart over the last few years. The rooms are tired, the staff is either rude or ignorant and it is not a good deal for the money. Among other things we needed two keys, although both keys never seemed to work simultaneously which necessitated many long jouneys to the front desk. Parking is expensive and the early check out policy seemed unnecessarily onerous. Old Town is rapidly losing any charm it might have ever had as it seems that it includes only cheesey stores designed to separate tourists from their money. It also has more unappetizing ersatz-Mexican restaurants per square meter than any other place on earth. Save your money ... stay somewhere (anywhere) else.

This is the best hotel in Old Town area. The room was huge, well equipped (not fancy) and beautifully situated. Location and design very good. Great views of city and park. Staff was friendly and helpful friom time of airport pick up to our departure. The only quible we had (and it was very minor) was that room service failed to deliver an order.

We were in the 600 building on the back side. We didn't have a view, but it was quiet and we didn't have the freeway noise. You can Walk to just about everything. Great resturants, shops and music. Bus station just blocks from the hotel that will take you to the beaches or Sea World. The rooms were clean, but a little musty at first. Sofa bed just for children. I wouldn't put an adult on it. Beds were very firm and pillows were great.

It's location was great, and it was an attractive place to stay. Bathroom door was broke, computers down at check in time. My family and I had a nice stay at this hotel even though it got off to a rocky start.

Good area...close to TONS of bars, restaurants, history stuff in Old Town area....short walk to the public trolley line...very convenient to get around town. LOTS of elevation change on property....get a room by elevators!

There was a high industrial whinny sound outside when we first arrived. I called the front desk and within a few minutes it was gone, never to come back. So, it was noisy at the beginning and restful after that.

The View. Nothing. Staff, location, view and facilities were excellent. The atmosphere was very relaxing.

We loved the location, right in the center of Old Towne. The desk staff was very friendly. The driver of the airport shuttle was very knowledgeable about the area and answered all the question we had about restaurants/bars/attractions, etc. Great hot tub!

This hotel was in a wonderful location. The decor was beautiful and romantic. I enjoyed my view and table and chairs just outside my room was very nice. The room itself had a table and chairs and complimentary internet and coffee. It had a refrigerator which was also a plus since I was able to keep food and beverages I purchased cold. The staff was friendly and professional. The only thing that I was a little disappointed with was the fact I was just next to the catering complex. A party wiht quite loud music was going on while I was trying to rest but luckily the party ended around 9pm or so. Other than that it was a great stay overall. I would definitely recommend it and possibly stay on my next visit to san diego.

Great staff. Interesting layout, mid-Old Town. No breakfast. No breakfast. No breakfast for my guests. The hotel was very clean, had an interesting layout on many levels connected by a series of elevators. Old Town was right at the door for nighttime shopping and eating. Route 5 just around the corner. Never saw other guests in this huge hotel! No other children for my grandchildren to interact with. I can see this may be a plus for others. Breakfast available at hotel restaurant, but no continental breakfast room. Really, it was very nice. It was just too quiet.

We enjoyed our King Suite. Our room was very comfortable with high ceiling and ceiling fan, refrigerator, microwave & coffee pot. Clean and beautifully decorate. We also enjoy the Sunday Champagne Brunch at the restraurant...Acapolco's. Would definitely stay again!

Hotel itself is charming old town. Great Site, great views, nice accommodations. Fine print said to expect to pay extra $5 a day for "Resort Fee". This is not a local tax, but an additional charge by the hotel for bottled water and a paper. Got the water, not the paper. Also, parking in hotel garage costs $12 a day, but there is lots of free public parking around the hotel. When questioned about "Resort tax", they noted that I had paid via Orbitz so it was already taken care of. WE would stay here again, but it is annoying to get nickle and dimed...they should just build that "Resort Fee" into the base price, and not bleed you in increments. Go see a Padres game while in town...the trolley from Old town to Petco Park is the way to go!

Great location for our needs, clean andcomfortable room. Too many levels. Hotel is on a hillside. This was our 5th stay and as always it met our expectations. The rooms are always spotless, and the area is quiet.

We awoke to a very frustrating morning. The trash truck were out and LOUD but the worst part... the water was shut off: reasons unknown... NO RUNNING WATER. We had to ask housekeeping for bottles of water to brush our teeth. We had to use the restrooms that morning elsewhere.

All employees were extremely helpful and friendly. The worst fitness gym I have seen in a long time. Recommend getting 5-7 sets of dumbbells. Can do any exercise with dumbbells. Surprisingly larger and more centralized than I anticipated. Had a great time and will return for sure.

The Best Western-Hacienda Suites Oldtown, was very friendly and close to my destination. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The view of the city from my room was magnificent.

We were in a room with a handicap shower so water went everywhere. We went on a short trip to San Diego. This hotel in Old Town was chalk full of historic California ambience. Spanish satillo tiles and fountains galore. The grounds were beautiful and it was fun to roam through the tiered levels. It was so close to dining and activities that we walked everywhere. Great food was only steps away and it felt very safe to walk around-even at midnight.
