My husband and I loved this hotel! What charm and ambiance...the room made me feel like a princess. Everyone was so helpful, we were sorry we only had such a short stay. Speaking with the staff about upcoming events, we will probably make reservations to stay here because of the views of the river. Internet connection was helpful to keep in touch with family at home in the US.

Room was very dated. Meal was only to be off their holiday menus ($65 eruos each), and had staff which spoke very poor english, had to check with manager after every order. Lights overhead in room was shorted out, so kept flickering, when they came to fix they said they had no light bulbs in stock. bedside lamp was also burnt out, so you had flickering room light or no lights. TV did not work and was talked down to by staff when approached about it. Overall very bad hotel and would not stay there again. Food ok, service bad attitudes poor, and Waterford in general was not very friendly and was dirty compared to Dublin and Cork. Was the only place we stayed in Ireland that we were remotely unhappy with. Skip the Crystal and stay near Cork:)
