Date of Stay:

Was in town for a concert and needed a place that was central to the venue and other attractions to do afterwards. This was a perfect place to stay and I would choose it again for future trips.

Good location. Small room. Good location, and small room.

I stayed there on a business trip. I needed to wake up very early both mornings. During the evening my hallway turned into a big party with a group of young guys and girls taking their loud gatherings from their rooms down to different floors and back up to my floor throughout the whole second night. I contacted the front desk to complain. They said 4 others complained. I told the staff I'd call the Chicago Police and complain of disruptive behavior. The woman staff member apparently talked with them, but her effort was futile. The obnoxious guests continued their partying into the early morning hours. I finally fell asleep at 5:30am only to wake up for the start of my business day at 6:30am. In the end, the management COULD NOT CONTROL the obnoxious guests and make the environment comfortable for the rest of the guests. We as legitimate rule-biding guests have to suffer AND still have to pay full price for the worst night experience. Would I recommend this hotel to anyone? NO. I suggest pay a few dollars more and stay at a reputable hotel with more mature guests with a hotel staff that puts their customers FIRST and sees to it that problems such as this one gets handled much better.

The hotel is adequate. The staff are nice and helpful. The location is great, right by Grant Park and the lake and not far from downtown. The rooms are nice. Only complaint is that the price is high but that's Chicago.

Close to the attractions on our itinerary. They didn't have a free continental breakfast. Staff was friendly. The room was clean. The down comforters on the bed were very nice. The pillows on the bed could have been a little firmer, though. We called for extra towels and they were delivered to our room in less than 5 minutes. Overall, we were pleased with our stay here.

My Medical Board Exams were in the morning. There was a large group of young adults on the 7th floor who took their partying into the hallway. For hours before I was finally ready to sleep, shouts, laughs, screams, etc. carried down the hallway continuously. The group stayed just doors down from me. When I was ready to sleep at 12:00am, I contacted the front desk. A courteous host answered. She was always very nice but didn't accomplish the job of shutting down the excessive noise. At any other nice hotel in town, this would have been an urgent matter taken up swiftly by the staff and resolved within minutes following the very first complaint. Needless to say, I complained about the noise. She said four other guests already complained, and she was going to take care of it. I told her that I may call the police myself. 1/2 hour later, still loud as ever, I called her back. She said she was trying to get approval for calling the police (which never happened). In the end, NOTHING was ever done to permanently halt the noise. I didn't fall asleep until 5:30 am. This lack of control of boisterous guests is unacceptable. I should expect a full refund for the complete torture I had to endure. Very upset guest.

Helpful in finding solution when wireless was not working. They did not have coffee - only had decaf.

The hotel has really good price/comfortability rating. The heating is noisy in winter-time but we got to used with it in couple of nights. The hotel restaurant is almost disaster. Visit the dinner just around the corner. The location is great - about 400m from the station. And the Loop is in the walking distance. Will recommend the hotel to fellow travellers.

Staff was very helpful; check in and checkout easy. Upstairs hallways dim and slightly spooky. Brighter bulbs would be cheery.

Attendant was so helpful and hussled for my car. There were many cars he had to pull around and we could see him moving as fast as he could. There was a lot of traffic and it took a while for the car because of the hustle and bustle of the Grand City but seeing him move as fast as he could made the 15 minute wait seem like 2 minutes. While waiting for my vehicle to be pulled around I was greeted by a delightful young woman that I found out later was the General Manager, Gena. When I was chatting with the guest reception about her friendlness they told me she was theManager. I was so impressed. I've stayed in many hotels and have never been greeted by the Manager. We will be back no doubt.

Perfect location, friendly staff, near everything. They will help you get a taxi or use public transportation and will keep your bags for early check-in. Everything went smoothly. I would stay here again. Front desk person, [...]- very friendly!

We were very pleased with the location, right on Michigan Ave. Nearby restaurants, shops, lake Michigan etc. We did alot of walking. Hotel was very clean, a bit older on the outside, but the inside was fine. Nice clean rooms, and the staff were very attentive, and willing to please. Absolutely no problems at all. The hotel restaurant has excellent food at reasonable prices. Computers in the lobby were a nice touch.

Location was great. No toilet seat, no parking, tiny gym, dinning closed. Location was great, room was kinda dated.

The rooms were big and spacious with enough room for my family to spread out for a couple of nights. We LOVED the location near the Field Museum which is exactly where we were headed. The pool is great--it has some good seating around it and you can see the kids from your room as well. If you're going for the museums, some good dining, shopping and Chicago sightseeing, this is an awesome place to stay! Another room in our party had a great view of Grant Park!

Rooms very nice. Great location. Everything was great. Did not have water when I arrived, but within a couple of hours that was taken care of. Had a very nice stay at this hotel. The location was great as I did business at the McCormick Center. Will stay at this hotel again.
