we had a very enjoyable stay here. the hotel is conveniently located to area attractions and directly across from the beach. the rooms were very clean and comfortable. we chose a family suite giving privacy to us parents (which is something not offered in most hotels of this star rating). the staff was always friendly. the pool area was always clean and well kept. breakfast was nice. we requested a breakfast tray to be brought to our room and it was always there promptly when scheduled. we would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially when traveling with teenagers.

Some staffs are nice and the pool is great for affordable budget. The smell of cigarette in the room even though it's the non-smoking room. The room is little small, the overall appearance of the room is quite good. The pool, hot tub, and lazy river are great. It's just right there by my room, but we need to cross the street to get to the ocean. The location is good. Some staffs are very nice, some aren't. They are 24/7 available and they are quite friendly.

My family and I had a very nice time. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room were clean and roomy. The kitchen was the right size for what we wanted and the sleeping area did not run into the kitchen. Our children enjoyed the pool and the lazy river. The breakfast was also nice. Next year when we come back this will be our choice hotel. I highly reccomend this hotel.

Full kitchen, lazy river pool needed cleaning. Crossing the street to reach the other beach and second part of the hotel was dangerous, not pedestrian crosswalk was available. Hotel was very nice. I like the full kitchen with utensils. The lazy river was fun for the kids. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay. Room had all the amenties of home. Private balcony with rocking chairs overlooking the ocean. Great pool with lazy river. Quiet, relaxing, wonderful staff. Love it!!!!

Could not believe how clean the rooms were and had everything we needed! There was nothing we didn't like! The staff was very friendly and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were! The pools were great, there was even one we had access to that was on the ocean (the main hotel is across the street). The beds were surprisingly comfortable. There was a great continental breakfast and for a small fee you could even have them deliver it to your room! We are absolutely making this our number one hotel to stay at every time we go to the beach!

We just checked in last night to this hotel, and it's the first time we've stayed here. I was immediately impressed with the friendliness of the front desk staff. The room is clean - even the refrigerator, which looked brand new inside. We are in a "family suite" that has two rooms, which is even roomier than the suite we normally get at the Country Inn and Suites. We're across the street from the beach, but it's visible from our window. There is another part of this hotel on the ocean side, and we have access to it to use the indoor pool. The best part is having that building for restrooms when we're on the beach.We had an issue with the TV this afternoon and maintenance showed up within 3 minutes of my call to the front desk. He was very nice and immediately found a solution to the problem.Odds and ends: The pool seems very clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was average for a hotel of this star rating. All in all, this is a great deal to be this close to the action! We'll definitely stay here again.

i forfeited a * deposit in a suite because the hotel was dirty ( flies everywhere in the room ) and i felt very unsafe. people were drinking and smoking in the parking lot which by the way is right outside your door and it looked very nasty and filthy.

The coffee pot. The location of the room and the bed space. The hotel would have been ok if you had the ocean view and the indoor swimming pool not across the street. The lazy river never worked.

Nothing it was dirty, smelled. The hotel in the picture when I booked was the best western across the street which is newer; the hotel we were at was so bad we checked out. The hotel was rated 2stars it was not a one star is was dirty and smelled the staff was extremely rude, we ask to be moved to another room, we ask to speak to the manager and we ask for our money refunded because it was so nasty we would not sleep there another night. The staff did not honor any of our requests. Don't waste your money on this bug infested rat hole.

Half of this hotel is nice and on the beach and has a nice pool area. This is by far the worst experience I have had. Upon arriving with my 2 small children to a nearly empty hotel in off peak season, we were put in a below average room on the 3rd floor. This room had one full size bed and was very dingy! If I wanted a room with adequate bedding, I would have to pay full retail. The only way you are going to stay in their new building by the beach is if you pay their full price. The front desk employees are very rude and complacent. This area is very loud with traffic noise and I was completely unnerved by leaving my vehicle in their parking area. The best Western Grand Strand Hotel on the beach appeared to be a 2 and a half star. This place is running a scam!

This is a motel and I would not recommend it to anyone ever again. The rooms were accessible only from outside entry and our room was directly beside a 1/2 Motor Inn. It was not even a hotel as described, but a motel. My husband and I ended up having to go and find somewhere else to stay; we didn't even stay at the motel.

My mother & I were very pleased with the room as it was located directly on the ocean side, we were able to open the balcony door & hear the ocean. I really cannot think of a derogatory thing to say about our stay. We had a very pleasant stay where it was very relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that would be traveling to myrtle beach. Thank everyone for there lovely hospitality.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room appearance was very drab. It needs a good cleaning. The hotel is great for families on a budget. The pool was great. Great location, directly across from the beach. The room itself lacked polish, but was fine.
