Dining roomThe reception from the lady at the desk was lovely, so late at night.Whilst the bedroom was fine and the bathroom impressive, the dining experience could have been better. It was dirty, dusty and dead flies were on the window sill adjacent to our table. No explanation from the grumpy waitress as to where the breakfast bar was (it was out of sight from where we were sitting). She just said 'Do you want eggs?'...

Nice hotel a little bit far out of town Good quality hotel for the money we paid, got there and found we had been put in 2 singles instead of the twin we booked which was a bonus. The staff where really helpful and the french barman was fantastic conversationist....would stay here again.

A four poster bed after a 5hr journey, what a lovely welcomeCalled hotel as arriving late, no problems, when we arrived theat reception lady was charming, gave us a map and chatted about our stay. could not have been more helpful, found we had been given a four poster bed,what a lovely surprise, breakfast although nothing special the staff where also a delight.Only downside it is down a country lane but it is a country hotel and the rooms are very hotrecommended

room was good and clean. trouser press and iron didnt work. good night sleep. shower was poor could do with a booster pump fitted as water just about came out. breakfast was good and a wide choice and self searve so you could choose what you wanted

Business TripFound the hotel to be very good quality wise, and the food was excellent. Only minor problem was that the bed was quite hard to what I am used to.

Near to exeter airportStaff were very obliging and we felt well looked after. Large room with good facilities and we were provided with a substantial breakfast, delivered the night before, as we were up at 5am to catch a plane home. The hotel had a large party of Dutch visitors we were advised to order our dinner so that we did not have to wait once in the dining room. Good advice, much appreciated.

Not the Best Western!!The room I stayed in smelled of damp and the bathroom tiles were covered in black mold. The hotel is crying out for a refurbishment and bringing up to date. Lovely views across open countryside from the hotel restaurant and the food was tastey and good value.

Didnt sleep all night due to noisy residents.Was kept awake till 2am with noisy resident whom reception failed to do anything about. Woken again at 6am to the same!!! It was like a kindergarten.

Gypsy hotelThis was the second time I have stayed at the Gypsy Hotel, the first visit was in the summer. I did find the room quite cold during this visit, how ever it was very clean and adequate.The restaurant food was good and the menu covered a good selection.

tThe dining room felt almost canteen standard. Not using tablecloths I felt lowered the tone. The meal was good and well presented. The room was good. Number 11.

Staff were very pleasant but the hotel is dated in the main area. Still reasonably maintained but does not bear comparison to the standards expected today. Room was clean and facilities were ok but need bringing up to date. I did not see the annex which may be more up to date.Food was good and breakfast buffet good.
