The hotel was in a great location (close to White House, subway, etc). The staff was always ready to help with smiles on their faces.

Good location. Staff seemed to be of extremes either very friendly or rude. Good location for tourist attractions and restaurants. Offered free newspaper, but at 8:00 am they were all gone.
Date of Stay:

Rather expensive, but clean and practically a 4-star hotel. 10 minutes walk from the Metro. Good complimentary breakfast, better than in other US hotels.

I booked this room because it was relatively cheap compared to those within walking distance to the Capitol. The best part was it was a 10-minute walk to the DuPont Circle Metro (red line) or the Foggy Bottom Metro (blue/yellow). Breakfast is adequate but grim. Staff is friendly and helpful. Had trouble with guest laundrymat. Room was ordinary but clean and had a tub. There is construction across the street; however, the air conditioner blocked the noise. Business center has free internet access and was always available. If you want a plain-Jane, reasonably priced experience, it was fine.

The Best Western Georgetown was a great value, fine location and perfect hotel for our short DC visit. The room was generous and clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was adequate, not spectacular--a bit crowded, limited choices, discouraged taking food back to rooms which would have eliminated some of the congestion. The only complaint this tea-drinker had was that room coffee service didn't include teabags. Many restaurants nearby and easy access to parking.

Location to attractions. I felt very safe at this hotel. I loved the look and feel of the place. The breakfast was great and their was a wide variety of choices. The people at the front desk were very nice and helpful.

A/C did not work in room. After several requests we were moved to another room, but it had not been cleaned from the previous user. A very bad experience!

It was our first time staying at Best Western Georgetown visiting Washington DC over the Labor Day weekend in 2008. The hotel is a bit outdated, but bathrooms have been recently re-done. Room was big and clean, although AC was not working properly. But we spent all days out sightseeing, so it did not really matter. We liked a separate area with a sofa bed/ TV for kids. The breakfast was a disappointment (poor continental), but it was free, so for the first day it was OK. Georgetown is very residential and safe, has shopping and restaurants, CVS and little bistros, very alive at night, so the location was very good for resting after a long day. I would recommend to stay here only if you plan to be out the whole day and need clean, safe and inexpensive place to sleep at night.

Location, andlarge rooms. No on-site parking. Had to use the Ritz Carlton lot nearby. Overall very pleased with this hotel. Excellent location with Georgetown and Dupont Circle a short walk away. Large rooms. Only complaint is that there is no parking at the hotel. You must use the Ritz-Carlton lot nearby.

We arrived an hour early but the friendly desk clerk offered a suite w/a king, sofabed & free cot instead of the 2 queens we'd reserved. Our 3rd-floor room was spacious, clean, and quiet. (Sofabed wasn't very good, but our 16-year-old managed.) We enjoyed the free breakfast (quite a selection) as a great start before daily sightseeing. Location was very convenient (about 7-min. walk to the Foggy Bottom metro stop); we dined near Dupont Circle every night and walked home. A great value for the price. We'd stay again.

Great location for the price. Odd shaped room. Long and narrow. Great clean room, great location, friendly staff.

The hotel is in a nice little location between DC's museum attractions and the nightlife at Georgetown. It is in the midst of mixed resi-office area that's very charming. a good number of dining options within a short 5 min walk, or walk in 15 mins to George town and choose. It's also a 15 min walk to the Mall & white house. Note - blocks in DC are shorter than NYC so look at the scale, not number of blocks. Subway station is pretty close. Small hotel, helpful staff, close to a grocery so get to use the kitchen that comes with all rooms. It is in a SAFE, quiet neighborhood. Avoid hotels close to Dupont Circle. Beds are good, clean, above average for a 3 star. air conditioning was a bit weak in my room so I'd hate to stay there in August when its murderously hot in DC (hint: avoid rooms ending with a 6. Otherwise, a nice little property.

Great value. Great value. Room was very clean. Kitchenette made it even more comfortable. Location is excellent for DC business & tourism.

The location was great for my needs- convenient to the orange, red and blue metro lines, near the YMCA and in Dupont Circle, within walking distance to Adams Morgan. The hotel however was only o.k. The bathroom had fingerprints on the walls and door that were never cleaned off, the thermostat didn't work properly. I had a nice sized room that included a sitting area with a couch( which was manky) but at least the bed was comfortable. Great that there was wireless internet but it was quite slow. There is an included breakfast which is bare minimum but at the hotel next door there is an Illy coffee bar serving wonderful coffee drinks. The hotel seems like it hasn't really been renovated since the 80s but if you just use it to sleep and rest in and are mostly out and about, it's an o.k. value.

Very quiet and clean rooms. I think the dining area is too small and breakfast selection very limited. I had to eat in my room for lack of table space.

Hotel is located close to the metro @ Foggy Bottom area. We had a little problem with the room when we first checked in. Hotel is ideally situated close to the Metro, Georgetown and many restaurants within 3-6 blocks. Metro system is the only way to get around DC and the tourist sites. Plus it is very inexpensive.

Very little. Staff was not helpful. If you want a bet and nothing else this hotel is fine.

First, the Best Western Georgetown Hotel & Suites really isn't in Georgetown, but NEAR Georgetown, closer to downtown Washington, but not really walking distance to any sites. Right by George Washington University and a couple blocks from the GW/Foggy Bottom metro stop. So in some ways better, since you're not really going to find any easy metro stop anywhere near Georgetown. It's near enough some nice neighborhoods where dining options are better and cheaper than downtown, so that's real plus. (Eating in DC can be expensive! We talked to some locals who said we were well located for dining.) The rooms seem a little run-down, but they are perfectly comfortable, and the value is terrific. If you're touring DC, and staying out most of the day, all you need is a base, and this is more than adequate for that. We really preferred this over a more expensive downtown hotel we stayed at 1st night after plans changed and I needed to add an extra day at the beginning. (Even the free continental breakfast at Best Western was far better.) These folks really cater to tourists, and are super-helpful. If you are interested in a tour with Old Town Trolley, they will pick you up and drop you back at hotel next door, which was great.

This hotel better than in New York 3star hotel. Big size room. Friendly. Dose not supports another language. Only English. Not global hotel. I am very satisfied. Good size and price room.
