Website gave a different view of the hotel not as one would expect, deception was there. Would recommend renovation of hotel to show it cultural and beauty.

The rooms are not clean, the entire facility is worn. There is no restaurant, nor is there a lounge. I left a "do not disturb" sign on the door only to return to find housekeeping (if you can call them that) going through my things. The manager had no concern when I contacted him.They are located on the furthest edge of what could be called the french quarter in a questionable area. I was advised by the desk staff not to walk outside at night. Oh, and my linens had not been changed from the previous guests...trust me it was obvious.

I chose this hotel based on the video and photos of a "standard double" room. The description of the room included the word "spacious" (ha). The photo on the website is one of a very nice room with comfortable sitting chairs, armoire, table, desk, nice sized bath. Don't believe it. The room I had was much smaller than the one pictured with a tiny bathroom, one chair (roll-around desk chair), no armoire. The room was clean but definitely "well worn" and definitely undersized for a family stay of more than one night. Comparable to a typical "hole in the wall" room at a budget hotel. The photos on the website are definitely intended to mislead. When I inquired about the difference in the rooms I was told that "a room such as that pictured on the website may be available for a higher price". However, on the website it is shown as a standard double which is what I reserved. During our stay both the restaurant and lounge were not in operation. Of course that was not disclosed when I was making my reservation and I was charged full price. The positives are that the room seemed to be clean and the staff was nice if not receptive to my complaint about the false advertising. This facility is 3 blocks off the far end of Bourbon St from the Sugar Bowl and downtown.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the bed was quite comfortable, good mattress is very important. The location was not what I would consider the French Quarter. True, Bourbon Street is 3 blocks over, but then it's about 6 or 7 blocks down to get to the heart of the Quarter. The hotel itself was great, I'll stay there again even though it's a bit of a walk, but on the weekend there is more street parking available. The website listed 3 Star hotels as having restaurants, this one did not so we had to walk to get breakfast.

Plenty of room. Dirty. I stayed two nights at this hotel. At first, the hotel seemed nice, it had a old French quarter feel to it. For a 2 star hotel, the bedroom was good enough. Plenty of room. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was decent as well. Unfortunately, the place was disgusting. There was vomit left on the floor next to the bed. How could nobody clean it up? When I complained to management, they sent a housekeeping maid to clean it up. However it still smelled horrible. Management did not offer any form of compensation, they didn't even offer to change our bedroom. The Pool was very dirty as well. If it weren't for the vomit and dirty pool, and if management was more concerned about its paying customers, I would probably stay there again.

Good quality room furnishings. I saw a bug in the food trays during breakfast. The staff was polite and friendly. The location on Rampart Street is a bit of a walk if you need to meet people at the Hilton or Marriott.

The location. I had to park 6 blocks away in a storm. The hotel was supposed to have parking. I am unhappy with my hotel stay. I was soaking wet by the time I checked in because I had to walk 6 block in a storm after I was assured there would be parking at this crappy hotel.
