The rooms at the Best Western are quite comfortable with almost a living-room flavor about them. The location is convenient to Kingston activities, but be conscious that nothing much is within walking distance. If you are looking for a downtown hotel this is *not* the place to stay. On the other hand, Kingston is not large so a short drive takes you to the center of town. The bar is great as is the restaurant, both of which have their own clientele, i.e. they don't depend on the hotel for their primary business. Although the hotel is generally quiet, beware of rooms near the linen-and-service rooms. The staff start their cleaning at 7:30 in the morning and the hall can get pretty noisy.

Bedbugs!!! I would advise anyone thinking of staying there not to rethink their options. We were visiting Kingston and booked 2 nights at this hotel. Needless to stay before we even checked out of our room, I had noticed a horrible rash. A doctor in the emergency room at an Ottawa hospital confirmed that the red raised marks were caused by bed bugs. A certificate was issued and we complained to the department of health in Kingston. When my husband called the hotel the manager simply denied any knowledge. From what I understand they had already rented the room to some other unsuspecting party. I would advise staying away from this hotel.

Wait staff in restaurant for breakfast-cheerful and attentive. Longe wait staff certainly were more interested in chatting than looking after customers. Hotel is a clean but tired location, in need of room updating. No elevator to second floor which made carrying suitcases inconvenient. Restaurant clean cheerful as was staff, good selection of very well prepared food. Lounge could stand an updating.
