We selected this hotel to stay at the night before our tour at Hearst Castle and it was a nice location across the street from the ocean. Several families stayed there. Short drive into rustic town for meals. A good family stopover hotel.

Very clean rooms. The in-room Jacuzzi was superb and the staff wasfriendly and helpful. Fantastic location! Friendly staff who are quite proud of their motel and the city of Cambria. The staff proudly recommended numerous local restaurants. A real treat. Their restaurant recommendations were right on par, too.

Check in was quick and easy with complimentary cookies to welcome us. The rooms were very spacious and super clesn. It was cool at the beach that night so I was happy to see a couple of extra hotel robes hanging in the closet. It was the comfiest bed I had ever stayed in at a hotel. And the next morning, since it was a continental breakfast, I had decided then to take my son out. As he was still asleep I had walked over for a cup of coffee and to my surprise it was no ordinary continental breakfast. It had a little bit of everything,(my favorite were the ready to do it yourself waffles). Needless to say we were very happy to eat right there with the rest of the very friendly guests we had the pleasure of meeting that morning. We sat in front of the hotel looking out at the ocean with our coffee after breakfast; a nice ending to our one night stay. We'll give it a ten!!

It was right on the beach. Very pleasant, excellent location and view of the ocean. Fireplace was a nice touch.

The Moonstone Fireside Best Western was great. The front desk lady was so friendly!!!! Right by the beach, the walking path was nice. The room was nice, clean, not a good view from our window (the highway) but everything else was nice. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable. The continental breakfast was good. A bit pricey for what you get but it's all about location!!

Right across the street from the beach. No phone service. Room literature indicates they seek to be environmental, but all the food items and utensils and disposable meaning they want to save money in the rooms by asking you to reuse towels etc., but are really not concerned about the environment in the least. This is a Pacifica Hotel policy, the company that operates this hotel.

Our stay was just for a night but, would have loved to stay longer! Everything was clean and fresh and the breakfast was everything you needed. We walked accross to the beach and saw the seals. The people in the office were very helpful in recommending places to eat and see in the quaint little town. We would definatly stay here again. The coast road was breathtakingly beautiful getting there.

It was very relaxing with a lovely view only steps away.

The Best Western Fireside inn was very relaxing. We highly recommend the ocean view rooms with their own veranda. The room was very large, comfortable & clean. The pool area was very clean and having a spa made the stay even more pleasant. The ocean is right across the street and Moonstone beach is a wonderful place for children and adults to explore. Many hermit crabs, sea anenome's. The seals on the rocks are only a few yards away. An wonderful adventure for children. The hotel was close to the town of cambria and just 10 minutes from Hearst Castle, a must see! Will definately come to stay at this hotel again.

Nothing for the price. Partial sea view was not true. Smell of sewer gas, people next door sounded like in same room, tour bus parked outside, older whirlpool tub worthless, other hotels nearby one third the cost.

I felt this hotel was great for the money! The free breakfast was wonderful with lots of variety. The rooms were clean and the hotel staff were friendly. There is no dining area for dinner but that's ok. I would stay at this hotel again. It is right across from the beach and the boardwalk trail you can walk on.

Manager was extremely nice and accommodating. Wireless internet service was a bit finicky. Beautiful location across from the water. Staff was wonderful and room was clean and well-equipped. Would certainly be happy to return.

Very relaxing, charming, lovely and can't wait to return. Private patios. A very relaxing, off the beaten path, quiet, great food down the road walking distance. Fantastic shopping in Cambria.

Beach location and fireplace in room. Could hear TV from next door room. Overall a very fine hotel experience. The room was ready in a timely fashion. The room was clean and their were some nice amenities i.e.; bath robes for two and shampoo/lotion/conditioner.

The location, right across from the most beautiful coastal area. The back of the room faced the highway, I did not expect the best, but it would have been nice to have something to look at from the window. More than anything, the location of the hotel was top. The lady at the front desk was a little cranky and she gave us misleading information about a restaurant, causing us to go and wait for an hour when it really was not necessary. There was a young girl being trained, she was delightful.

The beach across the street. Budget accommodations for premium price. Unless you get the front full view rooms the patios are not inviting - basically a setup in the parking lot. The bed was saggy, the shower too short, and the room had some cleanliness issues.

Location. Nothing. The manager is the biggest asset to the hotel. She deserves a raise.

The location was outstanding and the romance was what my wife and I desired. Can not think of any thing. The location and room style spell romance and we highly recommend this hotel for that couples get away we all need and desire.

Large room, comfortable beds. Waited 15 minutes to check in upon arrival-no desk clerk. First impression was poor. No desk clerk, we had to search for him in the dark to check in. When we finally found him, he did not apologize for the wait. Staff in the am was great, very friendly. Nice big room, comfortable bed, quiet, great location on the beach. Good breakfast.

The hotel was in prime location. 2 mins waliking distance from the beach and 10 mins from hearst castle. The people at the front desk were very helpful. He told us where to go for all different types of activities. We trusted his word from the min we begun speaking with him. We had a much better trip thanks to him.
