Complaining is not in my nature unless it really matters. This is NOT a 5 Star Hotel. 20 years ago maybe not much has been upgraded since. The free breakfast buffet was so so. There are 2 massage places. I went to the one on 3P and they were pushy and kept trying to get me to upgrade the massage. Just to shut her up I said OK. They sent in a hooker. I refused and I had to pay 600RMB for refusing. Then I went to the 8th floor and that is a real Chinese massage deep tissue. I will go back just for that. Here's my horror story. I am an executive of a medium company and this was my first time in the PRC so I was told to stay in a western hotel because they have standards I am used to. The 1st room smelled moldy but it had a nice view and the bed was wonderful, after 12 hours in meetings or on the road I would just go to sleep. They changed my room because they were remodeling that floor. About time. They moved to a lower floor and this one smelled of dried fish. I was in meetings all day as usual and when I hit the bed it was hard as a Stone! I could not sleep. I requested to be moved to a room with a soft bed like the first one. They promptly moved me to Floor 23. Completely remodeled floor. Ahh nice bed and room. When I woke my head was pounding and my throat was sore. The room was filled with fumes from the painting on the floors below. That was all I could stand. I had my assistant start looking for another hotel and get my bill. Wow we were being ripped off. We found our hotel on a this website for 200RMB less than I was paying and allot of other places nicer than BW and for less. Then I got the bill. Watch out for the hidden 15% room service fee per day. Which does not go to the people cleaning the room. I checked. After trying to negotiate some compensation for my discomfort. The manager said he would upgrade my room on my next stay. I told him there will not be another stay unless he does better. He knocked off the service charge for nights in my first room. That's it? Another words nothing more than what my travel agent quoted me. for me that's a big fat zero. Since the hotel refuses to discount for my horrible stay there. I post this here hoping to guide as many people away from there as possible. Our company will be bringing many foreigners here to introduce them to factories. I have already booked 4 guest at another hotel for a week each. Being cheap with the guest will cost much much more.

Very good hotel for this price. Only complain is about food quality in the restaurant, not perfect for the price, you should better go outside in any other restaurant. Service is nice, rooms great, specially executive rooms on the top, at 65US$ it is a bargain. Place is good, closed to railway station, you can come by feet from the train from Hong Kong.

Well located to the Hong Kong Border crossing and shopping. English is not spoken by all staff, so be patient they will find someone to help you. Good western buffet breakfast.

We had booked 2 rooms for 4 nights and as the package stated we will be upgraded to the deluxe rooms and we were very impressed as they were upgraded to 1 deluxe and 1 suite which we were very impressed.

It was our first time to visit Shenzhen and we did not have any idea which hotel to book. I checked out [website]'s customer reviews and found Best Western's reviews to be excellent. I booked 2 standard rooms for us - a family of five (4 adults + 1 child). When we checked in, our rooms were upgraded to deluxe rooms. The receptionist, a trainee, was very helpful in finding two adjoining non-smoking rooms for us. We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. The rooms were clean, the beds were very comfortable and the toilet & bath was very clean. The internet which was free of charge was fast. There was a variety of food at the buffet breakfast at a reasonable price. The room rates were very reasonable, good value for money. The hotel is right across the Shenzhen Railway Station in Luohu and close to Luohu commercial center and Shenzhen-Hong Kong border crossing. We were very satisfied and will plan to stay in the same hotel in the future.

It was great to pay US$70 to have been upgraded to the next higher level. I guess without the upgrade it would still be good but not as nice. Food wasn't good at the Chinese restaurant. Peanuts and crispy stuffs at the congee section for breakfast were quite a bit soggy or tough. On the whole it's not the kind of attention to details you would expect from an average 5 star hotel but for the price I paid it was more than acceptable.

Excellent location, facilities all modern and new. Free in room internet access with your own laptop. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends and will stay here again on my next trip.

We initially booked 2 nights but stayed for a 3rd as it was such a nice hotel and great value. We returned the following week for another 2 nights before we went home as it was a 2 minute walk from a 6 storey shopping market! We will return again!

The location of the hotel is very good as it is near the LuWo station. Was given a non-smoking floor, clean and nicely decorated. The room I stayed has a good view to the ShenZhen river which is refreshing when you wake up in the morning.

This is amazing value for a 5 star hotel. It is a 2min walk to the LoWu train and multistorey shopping complex. We have returned twice and will use it any time that I am in Shenzhen ...Happy Customer from Australia

I stay here all the time when I am in Shenzhen. The location is good...next to the Railway Station and Border crossing to HK.
