It was close to the shotgun shooting range in Palmyra. This Best Western Motel is at the intersection of Interstate 64 and Highway 15 in Virginia. It is in the NW corner of I-64 and Highway 15. It is not in Gordonsville, Virginia. I knew where the motel was and I am pleased that it is located at I-64 and Highway 15. But travelers could be confused by the address that this motel uses. The motel is the best place to stay over night when shooting at central Virginia sporting clays. CVSC is near Palmyra, VA. Palmyra, Virginia is 9 miles South of this motel.

My granddaughter and I stayed at the Crossroads shortly after it opened its doors in August '08 (not sure of exact date). The clerk said basically we could have our pick of rooms. We asked to see 2 rooms on the 1st floor, was pleasantly surprised with the appointments of the rooms. Tastefully yet elegantly decorated and although we were the first and only customer that night and it was minimally staffed, we both were very comfortable. The 'continental breakfast' was not available (they didn't expect to have the hotel open that week). The parking lot was not completed and the landscaping was just beginning to be worked. A rental car, the battery ran down (my fault), the staff searched diligently to find someone with jumper cables, much to my appreciation. We had planned on 1 night, but we loved the rooms, the big comfortable beds, the staff and came back that night. I hope to stay again in mid December '08, and see how it finalized out and if it is still as nice as I remember.

I wish we had been able to stay here longer, but we only had the one night. After a long day of travel this hotel was a wonderful rest. We had a swim in a lovely, warm--but not too warm--pool, and soak in a hot--but not too hot--jacuzzi and a wonderful night's sleep. Then a good breakfast in the morning before heading for the day at Monticello. We were a couple with a single friend, and our two-room suite was cozy, pleasant and roomy, and the necessary privacy for all of us.

Nice staff and quiet construction. Breakast was a little sparse. Brand new hotel right off of 64. Well built with great rooms. Rooms have a fridge and microwave which is great for us business travelers. Although it says it is in Gordonsville it is actually well south of the town and in fact right on 64 at 15, making it a good place to stay if Charlottesville is full or too expensive.
