This is a great hotel with staff that care. A good Continental Breakfast and nice location next to the Provo River.

Clean and great ambiance. Very clean, beautiful setting near river and trees.
Date of Stay:
September, 2008
The hotel, in general, was nice but we booked 2 "river view" rooms and they only gave us one even though we had pre-paid extra for the upgraded room. Even with the reservation receipt. Other room was definitely inferior to the upgraded room. Breakfast was nice.

I booked (and paid in full for) a balcony room two months ahead of time, but the hotel did not honor the reservation because they "won't guarantee the room type for online reservations" (their words). Unfortunately, I only chose this hotel because of the balcony. Other disappointments included having to switch rooms after one night because of plumbing problems -- all tap water and even the water in the toilet was almost boiling hot. They said "It happens," and moved me to another room. They claimed that they would comp me in some way for the inconvenience, but then didn't because I had pre-paid. Both rooms were not very clean; I found random pieces of food on the floor (piece of orange, raisins, etc.) from previous guests or cleaning staff. In addition, security locks on outer doors were not enabled; anyone could enter without a key card. Overall, my stay at this hotel was a severe disappointment.

Good location. Beautiful pools--both indoor and outdoor.

Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Hot breakfast was pathetic. Had to have our remote for the TV reprogrammed every night at least twice.

The price was affordable, and breakfast was good. The pillows were very small and only 2 on each bed. Small rooms, tub was grimy looking. Staff was good and helpful. Kids had fun in the pool, but we couldn't stay in very long because the chemicals were so strong it burned our eyes.

Our room was comfortable, but the linen on one of the beds was totally worn out. The sheets wouldn't stay on the mattress the mattress cover elastic wouldn't stay on either. The air conditioner had a terrible noise so we didn't use it although we would have like to have the air circulating. The person said it was an older motel, and that's fine, but they need to keep up on the maintenance and replace linen when needed.

Very clean and nice rooms. Breakfast space was so crowded we gave up, parking was a challenge. It was a very nice hotel, but the breakfast space was very crowded and running out of food. We gave up and went out for breakfast. Parking was a challenge. It was overall a very nice hotel.

When we booked our room, I asked for certain accomodations and they complied. We were very pleased.

The whole place stinks, very dirty, very dated, no elevator. This place smells dirty, looks dirty. The bathroom was so cheaply remodeled with tile that they did not even bother wipining the grout off the tile when setting it. Their was no elevator for heavy bags. I travel for a living and this is the worst hotel I spent the night at in many years.

I had a nice stay, the room was nice and comfy. I strongly reccomend staying at this hotel.

I've stayed at the Cotton Tree Inn several times and never had a bad experience. The rooms are large and always clean. The staff accomodating to our needs. The kids loved the pools, and it's located on the river so we have even had picnics there. It feels safe and comfortable.

I could enjoy the Provo River from my room. It didn't have an elevator.

"The staff were friendly, the breakfast was great (potatoes and eggs for me!), the pillows were astounding, the balcony had a gorgeous view, they had fresh-baked cookies out...It was a wonderful stay and I loved it!"

Close to food and shopping. No fridge , no suites. Overall it was a great experienced, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was hot. So was the coffee. Oh tea and the hot tub. A nice hotel close to prove canyon both a great place for romance and a leisurely hike.

"Our room was very nice, the bed one of the most comfortable of our travels! The view was beautiful with the mountain backdrop and the Provo River running right out our balcony window which overlooked a pretty greenbelt and riverwalk! Service was perfect with a free paper every morning! Staff very friendly, hotel very clean! We were very happy with it all."
