Connaught CommentsCame to collect kids who spent the week in Bournemouth so only stayed one night B & B. I like Best Western hotels and this kept up their reputation in my view. Customer service stood out, as did the bed comfort and breakfast experience. I dined out (Print Room) but will try dinner in hotel next time (menu looks inviting). Only thing to mark down is that I like feather pillows and these were too springy for my liking, but it's a personal preference. Overall I enjoyed it.

Could do with upgrading Televisions and lowering Restaurant and Bar prices,might encourage more people to stay within the Hotel,there is no shortage of Bars and Retaurants nearby.This is a nice Hotel with good facilities.Was a very nice Breakfast too.

Pleasant enough stayStayed a couple of nights. Staff V healpfull Parking avalability can be a bit hit and miss but usually ok, rooms a bit dated but clean and tidy Out door pool has been removed and in process of being flagged over. Breakfast V good large selection. All in all I would stay again. Spa facilities in bacement V good little used bread new.

Two nights in this hotel made our vacation to the UK a success. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond their duties to make our stay pleasant. The food in the restaurant was fabulous and the common area off the lounge was the perfect place to relax after two consecutive day trips. Our room was on the third floor and had a nice balcony. It was the perfect place to slow down and relax.

A lovely hotel. Went for an anniversary treat without the kids. Great room with with a recently updated modern en suite. Found fan and extra blanket in the wardrobe if too hot or cold - used neither. But would have preferred 2 pillows each on the bed. Buffet breakfast with a good selection of the traditional english or continental which ever you prefer (or both). Had to make own toast with only one machine for everyone to use (timing important if you don't want to wait too long). Had a look at the pool but didn't use (looked clean and a good size for a hotel). Ate out of an evening so can't make a comment on the evening meals. All in all we had a great time and would use this hotel again.

Over our short stay, we experienced long waits for any type of service in the bar and restaurant, dirty crockery, cold drinks (ie cold coffee) and late opening of hotel facilities. Our experience was further compromised by a small bedroom, a dingy bathroom and room service that seemed intent on cleaning the room when it was most convenient to them, rather than the guest. At no time, did any of the staff ever apologise for the shortcomings in their service.

Lovely HotelExcellent hotel, nice big room with all conveniences, the balcony was the topping. Very helpful and friendly staff. Big bonus with the swimming pool and other leisure facilities.

Great hotel in a great locationThe staff were friendly and helpful. Good selection at breakfast. Room was a good size, and well maintained. Location was ideal only a five minute walk away from the beach and the town centre.

excellent hotel, would definitely stay again!We booked the hotel the day before we arrived and found all services to be very efficient. The room was advertised as a superior double and definitely lived up to this titleand was large with brand new bathroom fittings and a comfortable seating area. The level of cleanliness in the room gave us no cause for complaint it was preety spotless.The breakfast which was included in the price was smashing there was a suitable amount of choice and the hot food was served for you from hot trays as opposed to be left out to go cold. The staff we encountered were all very friendly, but the main things that made an impact on us was the location, it was literally a five minute walk from all the places we wished to go, and the leisure facilites were really good, the pool sauna, jacuzzi and steam room were all clean well managed and as advertised. We did read in some reviews that people had experienced trouble parking at the hotel however this was not a problem for us in the slightest. All in all i have pretty much raved about it in this review but the standard that we encountered defintely deserved a review this good. Would definitely go again!

Perfectly fine, if a little old fashioned, but IMO no better than many hotels for half the priceThe title says it all really, there is nothing wrong with this hotel, the staff were very nice and helpful, especially the bespectacled well spoken middle aged man (although the 3pm check-in seems excessively late...but I knew this when I booked so can't complain!). However it was very old fashioned and to be honest no better than other hotels I have stayed at in Bournemouth for half the price. However that said it does have a nice spa, had I used this I might have changed my mind. The breakfast was good.

Great experience!The hotel was just as lovely from the outside as in! We were greeted by friendly staff, and enjoyed our stay! Our room and bathroom was a little old fashioned but as we were only staying one night it didn't matter. Great location too.

ConferencesFirst class hotel, although due to large number of conference delegates resident the A la Cartedinner menu was suspended and whilst not the end of the world was a disappointment.

Enjoyable break, close to amenities, value for money allbeit the room was slightly datedWe really enjoyed our stay, we had a nice clean room, lots of facilities, lovely steam room but the sauna was off that day, good sized pool, a balcony outside our room (not a great view but nice to be out in the fresh air) and to top it off, we were close to all the restaurants and 5 minutes walk away from the beach! Ideal really!Only negative comment i would make is that the bathroom was dated and the lighting was poor - tubes / energy saving bulbs - but not a major issue!

Very happy customerThe Rooms are quite small, but adequate and clean. The pool area was very nice with a sauna and steam room. The steam room was the best we have seen from a hotel which was a pleasant surprise.Breakfast was an array of cooked food, fruit, pastires and cereal. The hot food was served for you, where we would have prefered to have done it ourselves and with slightly more choice.The rooms on the top floor had a beautiful balcony and 4 poster beds ( as we saw from our friedns room) so if you can get those i would recommend it. Otherwise it was a perfect location for town, the staff were friendly and we had no complaints about our stay.
