the service was the best i've ever ran into in any hotel , the rooms had recently been renovated and were well worth the money. the breakfast was good and saved us quite a bit of money over the time we were there, the location was good located along the canal a little far from beach 4 blocks but not bad we would definately stay there again

It's location. Tile floors in room, bathtub not clean, accessories no available. For the price, the hotel is well located. There was nothing in the room or the facilities to talk about other than the halls and elevators were in good condition. The staff was poorly trained taking more than an hour to get checked into a clean room. Things in the room where not available as they should have been, no remote, no coffee filters, no frying pan, minimal utensils. I don't know if there are cheaper hotels in Waikiki.

Positive - Clean, quiet, great price, comfortable beds, just a few blocks from shopping/restaurants, delightful breakfast, helpful staff. Negative - rooms are a bit small for familiies with 2 or more kids, it's 3 long blocks to the beach, pool is very cold because of the shady location

Everything is new or remodeled at this hotel, the beds are " Pillow Top", The TVs are 42" flat screens, we stayed in a room that was a city/mountain view and enjoyed it very much. Its a 4 or 5 min. walk through a very nice part of town to the beach ( 3 long blocks) with nice shopping on the way. The parking is VALET ONLY at a day this was the only extra expense and turned out very nice, not wasting vacation time looking for parking and just a call before leaving the room and the car was waiting at the curb! The entire staff is amazing, we would have missed so much of Oahu if not for the suggestions and guidance of the employee's. We would definitely stay again.

Location, Bathtub, Kitchen, Big mirror. Tiled floor. I would stay here again. Loved it!

I loved it. The down side: Kind of small rooms, small pool, not a resort, and not on the beach. The up side: most comfortable bed EVER. Very clean, newly refurbished. Giant flat screen TV. Very trendy, free internet with printer so you can check-in for your flight. Just a couple of blocks away from a very nice area of town, and two more blocks to the beach. If you have little kids, this probably is not the place. But for the two of you, it is perfect, and 1/2 the price of the cheapest rooms on Waikiki Beach.

After staying the previous week at the more pricier Hilton Prince Kuhio, my husband and I decided to spontaneously extend our vacation for another week but had no pending reservations. After anxiously locating the Aqua Coconut Waikiki Hotel on the internet and viewing the photos and reading the great reviews, I thought "what do we have to lose". We were totally impressed, especially my husband. He stated that he liked this hotel more than the pricey Hilton. They have everything to offer that a more expensive hotel has, such as, a Concierge, laundry room, pool, free continental breakfast, business center, etc. The rooms were recently renovated (totally gutted), replace with a more european style decor with its sleek designs and contemporary colors. A convenient modern kitchenette w/stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and kitchenwatre, makes this hotel rooms totally turn-key. The bathroom is small, but is very functional. We enjoyed the 42" Flat Panel Television with loads of cable channels, free wireless internet and a lovely city view. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even with my grumpy husband who's bound to find something wrong with everything (when he couldn't find the ice machine). The only complaint I have is that the room I'm in doesn't have a computer desk for our laptop. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Honolulu without second thoughts. We couldn't wait to check out before I wrote my review, which is why I'm still sitting here in my room in sunny Waikiki, We highly recommend the Aqua Coconut Waikiki.

Sheets were clean. Forced to use their valet service at 9.00 a day - no options. Won't stay there again.

Very impressed with this hotel, beds were great, room was very clean, and the hotel staff was helpful and always cheerful. The breakfast was more than just an advertised continental breakfast as they had fresh fruit and warm pastry. The view we had from our room of the canal and mountains was beautiful. The only thing I even find wrong about the place was the road noise coming up from the street was a bit load at night...ear plugs worked great. We would most likely stay again.

free breakfast. Bathroom is small. My room was small yet comfortable with a kitchen and a nice view. The staff was friendly and provided helpful information on places to go. I would recommend this hotel to friends.

We stayed in January 2009. The newly renovated decor is very trendy- lime green and turquoise beach bubble theme. Our one-year-old loved a stuffed gorilla toy in the lobby. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Soaps and lotions smell really good. Staff was willing to help with any problems immediately. They were the nicest and most friendly hotel staff I've ever met. We had some small problems that were addressed by the staff. The fridge had a bad odor, and there was a small power outage which we don't know if it was the hotel's fault. Be aware that parking is an additional $22 per day and is valet, so plan to tip. Parking is in a secure under hotel garage. The pool is small and was ice cold. We tried to swim anyway hoping to get used to it but had to get out when our teeth chattered. Hotel is located about 3 blocks from Waikiki beach and it is easy to walk. It's also near some high-end shops like Juicy Couture and Louis Vuitton. Make sure you have good directions if you're arriving at night. Street signs are hard to read in the dark, and the driveway is immediately on the left after the turn- so it's easy to miss. We loved this hotel. It's really more than we expected from a Best Western. We would definately stay there again.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpfull. However they advertise that they have free high speed internet in the rooms which is not the case. They have it in the lobby which i feel is too public. On the bright side the price was very good and the rooms are the cleanest I have ever stayed in.

The hotel served continental breakfast. The rooms were so small and old fashioned. Did not enjoy my stay at this hotel. Glad we were there for only 2 days.

We stayed here in December. It was perfect! The staff was the best and were so helpful! Would stay here every time. Great location and great accommodations! We has put on our reservation that we were celebrating the fact we were expecting our first baby and anniversary. We had a miscarriage two weeks before so when they said "congrats" we told them thanks and that we lost the baby. They really went above and beyond to make sure our trip was restful and allowed us to recoup from the heartbreaking weeks prior. Can't say it enough, the wonderful hotel made it a great rejuvenating trip. Loved it!!

front desk was excellent they let us leave our bags before and after are check in/outminimal continental breakfast but good except they dont have any cream for coffee which was strange we had a studio kitchenette with mountain view nice view and we were able to cook fresh fish everyday and there is an abc store on the corner so i put cream in our fridge it was perfect for us we didnt have a car and didnt need one close to everything as far as my husband and i are concerned for the price it was just perfect and would definitely stay again if we get the chance ask for the mountain view when booking just beautiful

Very pleased about price, location, & free cont. breakfast. Lack of parking. Nice, clean, enough room to sleep 4 at a good price. a good value and well run hotel. I would recommend it to others who are looking for a good location at one-third the price of a beach front expensive hotel in Waikiki.

Hotel was clean, cozy, and had a very friendly and welcoming staff. The updated decor was upbeat and well done. We were serveral blocks from the beach but not too far and very near all the shopping we could want. Our bed was comfortable and our balcony had a good view. This is definitely a good place to come back to.

Beautiful Hotel, Upgrades made rooms very cozy. Had a perfect view of mountains and city. Great location, Helpful and friendly staff will miss them. Got married and spent honeymoon there, we already plan to go back

Friendly and helpful concierge Poorly maintained bathroom/room, old, peeling paint, unnoticing. Friendly and helpful concierges, but hotel needs upgrade really bad! Hotel room/bathroom looks more like a cheap motel room. However, good location from Waikiki Beach and good view of an adjacent lake. Price of overnight stay should have been a little cheaper than what I paid for.
