The front desk staff was very friendly but it advertised a restaurant & bar but when we went into the bar & ask for a menu they informed us they didn't serve food. A little pricey for the room.

Not much! I was only in the hotel for 8 hours, thank God. Not sure what this hotel star rating is currently listed, but the quality was very questionable. Very Old and smelly.

Our stay here was great. The staff was very friendly and courteous and helpful. We stayed here for 3 days and after the 1st day, the front desk staff knew us by name and greeted us each time they saw us. We found out after we stayed that they were in the process of putting new pillowtop mattresses in all the rooms, and our room didn't have the new mattresses yet, so I asked the front desk and they got maintenance to get me a new mattress that same day. The area isnt too bad, close to downtown. Lots of new construction around the hotel, a huge business center across the street that is absolutely gorgeous. I met a lot of police staying at the hotel for training. They said the police headquarters is right down the street. Hotel did not have a restaurant or food, but they had a bar opened in the afternoons. Bartender was very nice and let me try some new drinks they made for free!! Its a very quiet hotel, lots of business people that stay there from what the front desk told me. The staff are very friendly and spend time to talk to you and show you around the hotel. Very helpful with directions also. Their hot breakfast is absolutely great!! its the best eggs, grits, and sausages I've ever had at a hotel and I travel alot!! The only bad thing about the hotel is maybe how the outside looks and the landscaping, but of course don't judge a book by its cover....this is truely a "hole-in-the-wall" type place where the outside doesn't look that great, but the inside is just wonderful. This is definately not your cookie cutter hotel, and I will definately stay whenever i am in Baton Rouge.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks on business. This hotel is not in the nicest section of Baton Rouge. It is quite far from most shopping. The price is somewhat high for the services. They had free wireless internet but the internet connetion did not work most days.

The Best Western Chateau Louisianne Suite was comfortable and roomy; however, it is dated and the room needed fresh paint and some repairs. Also, traveling through parts of the neighborhood did not seem safe.

I liked the spacial and layout of the room. The hot breakfast was good and accessible. They only had one non smoking handicapped room available. Parking space was limited. The hotel was well lighted and managed. The rooms were clean. The services were adequate.

We stayed here at the suggestion of a travel agent...won't do that again. This hotel is difficult to find and is not really close to anything and not in the best neighborhood. We got lost trying to find the place so I called to get directions, got partial directions and was told to call back when I got to a certain street...I called for 20 minutes with no answer plus no one in the area knew where the hotel was either. We finally found it after about 30 min. Hotel doesn't look bad, the kids liked the ambiance of it and the hotel room in itself was easy on the eyes but at closer look was dirty. We tried to use the old microwave they had in the room but when we did it made the whole room smell like throw up and the windows do not open. The bathtub walls had someone elses black hair in several places. We had two queen beds, neither of which had a fitted sheet, only a flat sheet so when you rolled over in your sleep the sheets would come up and you'd find yourself sleeping on the bare mattress. For the breakfast buffet they had a variety of things and you can make your own waffles but the pasteries were stale and hard and the toaster took longer to toast your bread the it took to make your own waffle. Eggs were and sausages were luke warm at best. My daughter loved the cereal so that was a good thing.

Very nice clean rooms fresh paint. Out side pool open not heated, not clean. Liked the stay, pool and jaquzie not kept up, carpets clean ice maker good, had to park in front and carry lugagged through motel, no side entrances. Had a king non smoking and it was very nice.

The rooms were very nice. Front desk was never manned and internet down. Not in the best area but definitely not a bad value for the money. The hotel was very secure as the grounds had a fence that went all the way around. Staff was friendly but the night staff was never around went down 3 times and called a couple of time when the internet wasn't working until I got someone to help me. Overall not dissatisfied with the stay but definitely not first class either.

The old French decor including french doors and lobby was great, and reminded me of the French Quarter. The phone system did not work, which made contacting the front desk inconvenient. The hotel has a nice French Quarter atmosphere; it is small-scale but pleasant and nice. Rooms were clean. There was low occupancy, which made me a bit skeptical.

Rooms were spacious and continental breakfast was great. Hotel rooms are showing their age. The hotel was really nice overall. The room was nice, the hotel staff was friendly and the hot breakfast was a nice surprise. The hotel is conveniently located, not too far from the interstate and close to the downtown area.

Rooms were very clean, lots of space, good breakfast. Unfriendly staff, hot in common spaces, problems in both rooms we were in. The hotel was nice, very clean in rooms, but that's about it. When we arrived we learned that it is not in the best part of town, but it's not in the worst part of town either. We arrived after 12 hours of driving and just wanted to check in and take a shower. The power in half of the room did not work, it seemed to be just something like a tripped fuse, but I was told that there was nothing that they could do and the service man would fix it in the morning, so we had to shower in the dark! Which was not as easy as it sounds, there was not power on the side of the room with the bathroom, the TV was not working and the microwave and refrigerator didn't work either cause they were on that side of the room too. When I told the girl at the front desk she didn't even offer to move us to another room. When we came back the next day the problem with the power still wasn't fixed so they moved us to another room. The second room was just as nice, had all the power working, but the water in the shower never got hot enough to take a shower. I don't know if I would stay there again.

Most wonderful customer service ever. Best continental breakfast ever. Very nice/clean hotel. Would definitely enjoy staying again. No negative comments. All was wonderful. Could not ask for a better hotel. This hotel has the best service of any hotel I have ever stayed at. I would highly recommend it to anyone who would be traveling to the Baton Rouge area. Most definitely enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Next summer when we plan our trip to Blue Bayou/Dixie Landing' we will be staying at this hotel again. I have absolutely no negative remarks about this hotel. All was wonderful.

Really nice and large room. Nothing. This hotel is great. The room layout is fantastic. The bedroom is spacious with a large separate bathroom area (that you can close off). Although this hotel is 2.5 stars, it beats most 3 star hotels I have stayed at.

Quiet, peaceful, quaint, relaxing ambiance. I expected a Jacuzzi room, but found a whirlpool bathroom tub. I absolutely love this hotel. It reminds me of my grandmother's basement-it smells a little damp and a bit like fresh baked bread. It's full of Audubon prints, French-Quarter masonry and iron work, and Cajun/Creole hominess. It was away from the hustle and bustle, but within easy access of good restaurants and the casino. Mainly, I went here just to get away from my house and to grade an abundance of papers at the end of a rough semester. I found the solitude and quiet I had been seeking, plus a friendly/helpful staff, free internet access, printing, and a decent breakfast. But mostly I found a whirlpool tub to soak in to erase all my teacher woes. I will definitely will be visiting again!

Room size and atmosphere of the central lobby. Room carpet and furniture were shop worn. This motel was nice and clean but showing its age a bit. Hotel staff was friendly and competent. The central lobby was very nice and the breakfast provided was very good. The room, while shop worn, was large, nice and well appointed. I would stay there again given the opportunity.
