corridorsit seemed a long way to the room, after we came out of lift, with quite a few steps both up and down

A good simple hotel. No extra's like sauna or so. Small but clean rooms. Breakfast is good also for a Dutchman like me. In the winter it is not so busy, so if you like quiet it will suit you. The people of the hotel are friendly. Second time I was there for a conference in the neighbourhood. We will come back next year.

Carlton Hotel BlackpoolAnother pleasurable stay at the Carlton. Check in was available as soon as we got there (11.30am) and the customer service excellent. Room was spacious, had a sea view and was comfortable and clean. Our TV had a terrible reception but was watchable. We had an evening meal in the adjoining Jali restaurant and once again the food, atmospehere and service was excellent. Breakfast also very good, plenty of choice and hot! Would have no hesitation staying here again and would recommend it in a heartbeat.

Very impressed for the price!A spotlessly clean hotel - very pleasant staff - If I go to Blackpool again - I would definitely stay here again without any hesitation at all.

This was really poor value for money. Adding to a howling gale in Blackpool (not admittedly the fault of the hotel!) was a room that was tiny, rather dark and dingy, a door which rattled every time anyone walked past it, a TV with a pretty poor picture and a bathroom which looked like it had last been decorated in the 1970's! We only used it for one night staying over to watch a gig (luckily the band were fantastic and made it worthwhile) - we would have hated to have been stuck there any longer. All of this wasn't unbearably awful - but it was pretty poor and not in keeping with the hotel charging £110 a night (though we got for £95 through Late Rooms)! However on the plus side, staff were pleasant and when we ordered sandwiches from room service it was quick, nicely presented and enjoyable. But my advice to others would be to avoid it if at all possible! Management Response I appreciate the feed back from the customer however would like to point out that the room is not dark and dingy in fact the room offered was sea facing and in Blackpool the BW Carlton Hotel is of a very high standard as per reviews on trip advisor and has recently been voted the Top 3 at a life style and cultural awards. I am glad to read that the guest found the service from the staff and the room service ordered to be as per their expectations.

Everything fine except for the very noisy, to the point of pain, fan in the bathroom.

Good base for visiting Blackpool. Bedroom was a little small but since it was just a room to sleep for the weekend whilst out and about more than adequate. Very clean, bathroom was very well kept as well, which is always good. The staff were very helpful and approachable. The restaurant menu was a little limited and expensive although what you ordered was very nice, however there are more than enough places within the surrounding area to eat out in.I was very pleased with the hotel having it's own carpark, some close by advertise parking but it's a free for all on the front of the hotel, the best western has a proper car park which is good.I would definately stay here again to visit blackpool thoroughly enjoyed it.

Generally happy with the hotel. The first room given to us was very small, but reception found a more reasonably sized room for us without a fuss. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpfull and the accomodation was generally very clean (even my wife said so) although a little tired. We chose to eat in the Indian Restaurant, and the food was quite good and reasonably priced, although my lamb was a bit tough. Breakfast the following morning was excellent.

A small double room but very comfortable. The hotel is situated about 10 mniutes walk from the famous tower and has plenty of free parking. If I went back to Blackpool I would certainly use this hotel again.

was very impressed with the hotel, must admit when we first arrived in the morning i thought the hotel looked a little tired on the outside, but being on the seafront in blackpool it;s no surprise with the elments it has to put up with !!!!! but on going inside it more than makes up for it it was bright modern and contempery.the reception staff were extremly helpfull,we arrived @ 9am,which was much to early, but she gave us a carpark pass and we was able to leave the car and enjoy our day,we returned to check in @3pmish and it was guick and easy,we were told were our room was,we had no probs finding it,and was wery impressed with it

I took my mother, who is very poor walking, to the hotel for a break. She is over 80. I cannot say enough about the friendliness and helpful attitude of all the staff. The hotel is invalid-friendly, lifts, adapted toilet seating etc.The food was excellent...both Indian and Continental, and the serving staff were lovely. For value for money it is hard to beat, and to top it all the hotel has a wonderful location on the sea front.

Good location, away from the main bustle of the main promenade, but near enough to walk to everything. Good seafront position. Our stay was spoiled by a very pungent smell in the bathroom, plus no access to fresh air as windows would not open. Good parking. Good breakfast.
