Great location, average hotel+Receptionist were very friendly and willing to help, very close to main tourist attractions and a good metro line, didn't break the bank.-Hard bed, got stuck in an elevator (no sign saying it was broken), bathroom smelt bad, lack of bar.Might return, but believe I could find similar for less near by

I realize the building is very old, but the first room we were given wasn't even as big as a closet. The carpet was so worn it had holes in it. The bathroom was so small we couldn't turn around. We complained and were put in the "best" room, which wasn't any better! There was no curtain on the shower. The bedding looked ancient, stains on the headboard of the bed. The room smelled moldy. The paper was peeling on the walls. Holes in the carpet. Doors that didn't shut and a deadbolt that had to be wiggled to make it work. It was supposed to be a 3 night stay, we left as soon as we could the next morning to find more suitable accomodations. We have stayed in other Best Westerns in the same area, within a few blocks, and had very satisfactory accomodations. This one was terrible.

The place is fine, it is just that you can hear your neighbor talking even though they are just whispering. I think they have to do something for the walls to make it more discreet. Plus, the mades and other people just opening the door without even knocking,...worst it happened for 5 days!

Best Western Paris ReviewOne thing that would have been appreciated, is that if am asked for a check in time on the website then I expect to check in at that time - not 2.5hrs later.

Bergere Opera Paris - Definitely worth a visit! The Bergere Opera was in an excellent location for us, near the Grands Boulevards with Galleries Lafayette and Printemps for some great shopping! On checking in, I was delighted when, on realising I could speak French, the man on reception was delighted and didn't try to speak to me in English! I really appreciated this. However, when someone else was checking in and couldn't speak French, the receptionist had a very good command of English and was very helpful towards them. The room was lovely and clean and was thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis throughout our 3 day stay. A lovely, friendly hotel which met our expectations perfectly. The only thing I would have liked was access to coffee making facilities. I realise this is pretty much the norm in French hotels and is by no means a criticism of this particular hotel. It's just something that I would appreciate. Overall, the Bergere Opera is a lovely hotel, with very friendly staff and is in an excellent location. I will definitelt book this hotel again!!

We arrived late and found they had reallocated our rooms and placed us at a local hotel with the same rating. The hotel we wrere placed at was The Hotel Brebant. It had an abundance of cockroaches in the bedrooms but no iron, hairdryer or understanding of modern day cleanliness. We complained to the Best Western Hotel and they gave a shrug and told us its not their issue.

If you have a low budget this hotel will work for you otherwise there are a wide range of hotels across Paris. The room was very small, quite noisy and very old.

If you phone looking for directions to the hotel, make sure you tell the staff if you are on foot or driving. It is in the middle of the Paris one-way system and it does make a difference - we spent 1 1/2 hours trying to drive to the front door. in the end we stopped at the corner, dropped our bags and parked in the public car park which is only 5 minute walk away. Staff tried their best to help at all times.

Very happy to review this small hotel which was well situated and easy to get to, 10 mins by foot from the Roissy bus from Airport to Opera and 5 mins to Grands Boulevard station for all travel throughout Paris; wiith everything at your doorstep from bistros to small general stores. The staff attitude was helpful, directions as to the best way to get around good and the room, albeit it small, was clean and well maintained throughout my stay. Food received by way of room service was great and a Restaurant recommended was excellent.

The tv in the room did not work. The minibar that was in the room as advertised was locked and there was no key to be found to open it in order to use the fridge. Upon checking out, staff were also found to be slow.
