In all I rated this hotel as average. It's the most expensive hotel/motel in the area because it's the only one on the ocean. The little piece of the ocean that you are on is pretty run-down, and not so great to look at. The good news is that you can drive a little ways while staying here and hit some decent spots on the beach like Harris Beach. The room itself was spacious, although entirely overpriced at the AAA fare of 220.85 a night for me and my girlfriend. It wasn't very clean, but it was tidy. The downfall of the room for me was that I had to get into the whirpool jacuzzi and wipe the entire thing down. I paid at least 40 dollars more a night for the hot tub and it was covered in hair, and had a little dirt in it. Cleaning my room wasn't something I expected to have to do. Also, the room's air conditioner didn't turn on. It wasn't very warm out luckily, and there was a fan in the closet we used. Other than that the room lacked small amenities I'm used to seeing in even cheap motel rooms. In all, you're probably better off ignoring the lure of being right on the ocean and staying in one of the other resorts, hotels, or motels in brookings for half the price of this place. You'll probably even have a cleaner room, and more amenities like plastic cups to keep you comfortable. Unless they drop their prices by at least 30-50% I'll never stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is in a wonderful location and as promised, it appears that all rooms face the ocean. In fairness, the room was quite clean. The downside: this room, along with all the others at this hotel, advertised a balcony overlooking the coast. Unfortunately, maybe because we got a special senior discount, the balcony was only 2 feet wide in our room and not even wide enough to accomodate a chair turned to face the water. I could see that the majority of other balconies were more than adequate and could be enjoyed. False advertising! I wish I could have just paid an extra $20 and enjoyed what I expected to get in the first place- Best Western should not be so deceitful- some folks will gladly save the money and sacrifice the balcony- others pay what they pay and expect to get what the hotel advertises.

Beachfront. No AC. The room was large enough to move around, clean with a great location right on the beach.

The Best Western Beach Front Hotel surprised me. It is located in the small South West Oregon town of Brookings and although there are many hotels, few or none give you the sound of the waves crashing and a perfect view of the coast. It was very relaxing, many families and couples, and was one of the highlights of my trip along the Oregon coast. The comfort of the bed was absolutely fantastic. My traveling companion and I talked about how that was the best night sleep we had in 2 weeks. Definitely going back to the Best Western Beach Front in Brookings Oregon.

Location and view. No continental breakfast, limited parking. Very easy to find the hotel. Great customer service. Room had a fantastic view. Bed was comfortable.

The beat Western Hotel was very comfortable, friendly staff, large and clean room. Great location, walk right out to a grassy area and the beach. We are always looking for a good pet-friendly hotel and this is it! I would recommend it to anyone who loves the beach.

The atmosphere was wonderful: rooms and scenery! Workers bordered on rude trying to keep non-guests out. The scenery and accessibility were wonderful. However, not a shell was to be found on the beach. Great place for kids to play in the sand. Rooms were wonderfully clean and decor had a great ambiance. The heated pool was awesome but didn't offer any shade. Workers were a bit rude when asking if you were staying at the hotel. Must have a problem with non-guests using the facilities. Overall, a great place and will happily return for another stay soon.

It was a perfect night. The weather was awsome. The spa in front of a ocean view window was the best. Deep and big enough for two. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and breathing the ocean air. Very comfortable room. Soft warm colors were relaxing. I will go back to this site and tell my friends all about my stay. The Restraunt across the street was closed at the time we were there.

The ocean view. The "pillows"...not very supportive or comfortable. For beach combers and storm watching enthusiasts, its worth putting up with the lack of comfortable bedding. Rooms could use updating!
