Never Again will we stay at a best western. Room smelt unmade beds someone had been sleeping in one door jammed staff unhelpful Blood on the lift floor snickering staff.
Date of Stay:

Regardless of price we were disgusted with this place - checked in and out again within 5 minutes despite being offered an upgraded room. Stains in furniture, bedding, carpets...cracks in walls and mirrors...broken sockets...easily the worst accommodation either of us has ever had the displeasure of setting foot in. If you're on a budget stick to hostels!
Date of Stay:
April, 2009
Drinking water in the room didn't taste that nice (as compared to the water supplied in the bar, which I think, was filtered) Couldn't locate an iron, so I didn't wear the outfit I had brought with me. Rod from one of the venetian blinds was missing and they are too high for the average person to reach up and manipulate. However, the location , the nicely cooked breakfast and the VERY pleasant and hospitable staff more than compensated.

Was a shame we could only stay one night, the reception staff where very helpful and my partner and I had a great time in Brisbane!

Location is great, close to the city, and close to where my appointment is to see a doctor. Easily accessiable, affordable price and everything is ideal.

Room maintenance could be better i.e electric kettle didn't work. Reported it but nothing happened. TV Remote missing in one room. Otherwise quite satisfied for the price paid.

Recommend it as good quality accommodation at a reasonable price. Excellent helpful staff.

The stay was first-class. Excellent breakfasts; very good restaurant; spacious room. Only criticism was that the pool was very cold indeed; perhaps some covering at night needed.
Date of Stay:

The room cleaners did not change the sheets only pulled up the covers, did not wash our cups. Could not dial out on telephone, reported it but never got fixed. In house movies were over half hour late, had to ring reception at least 3 times each night as DVD would not read, Reception didn't press play. Also the movies we saw were not on the list in our room. Location would be the only reason to go back...then there are other hotels as well?

We chose to stay in an apartment tower room to enable us to prepare our own meals. The room and kitchenette were small but quite adequate for two. We had two minor complaints - there were no breakfast bowls supplied and one of the bedside lights appeared to be broken. The hotel is ideally located just a short walk from the Queen St mall and it is on the City Sightseeing bus route; however it is an uphill walk from the city centre so provides plenty of exercise if you are walking. We would stay in the apartment tower again.

All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Sadly, badly dripping taps, continually running toilet, noisy fridge clogged up with ice and no bedside lamps spoiled an otherwise pleasant Brisbane holiday.

We were in the old part of the hotel. Over all it was worth the money we spent. Staff was helpfull and friendly.

The suite had no window in the living area. the carpet was dirty. We had to move the furniture to be able to watch television. under the settee was filthy with pieces of broken glass and dirt there. The only cupboard to put clothes in was not big enought for one person although the suite had sleeping for four. The wardrobe door had sharp nails sticking out of the edge. There was a huge hole in the window glass and we were looking out on a concrete wall. there was what looked like dry blood down the settee. For the first two days we could not use the hotel pool because it looked green and dirty. We complained on the first night we were told we could not be moved elsewhere. This caused us a great deal of stress and a sleepless night. on making a further complaint the next day we were moved to better room and although we were originally told that we would have to pay for an upgrade this did not happen. For the rest of the stay we had no major problems.

chairs broken mattress 20 years old at least cleaning done just where it shows corners full of dust in the bathroom. shower towels for a baby size blinds not working view on the A/C machines - horrible reception not answering the phone after 9pm very expensive wont recommend it at all

- Consider changing new bed. - Retrieving car is an hassle. - Broken items in room (Sink (Room 213) does flow, hair dryer tubing broken. - Lighting is unfavourable for night reading. - Good to advise future customers which room type they are stayg (i.e. new or old wing).

The hotel was just average. Whilst we were given a fairly large room it was very outdated. The reception staff were unfriendly and it was not one of the best stays that we have completed. The Car Parking is a nightmare!
Date of Stay:

Overpriced for the standard of facilities provided. Noisy airconditioning plant outside the room. Great location, very convenient to the CBD and rail.
Date of Stay:
November, 2008
Overpriced compared to the quality of other hotels

The roof leaked, and when I informed reception they told me they knew it leaked!!! The blinds didn't work and subsequently i woke up when the sun came up..but the staff smiled a lot.

The hotel has the appearance of being very old & tired & our room was dark & in need of basic maintenance (timber venetian blinds could not be opened). The premises are overdue for a full facelift.
