Hotel facilitiesThe hotel room was small but suitable for a single person but the decor was dated and could do with refurbishment. There was a slight 'musty' smell on the sheets and bedding but that could be that the room had been unoccupied for a period. Not a long stay hotel but for a 'one night' business stay it ws fineThe service and food in the resturant was good if a little pricey

Not worth the money. The quality of the room did not match up to the price, the downstairs of the hotel was really nice and modern and had obviously been recently renovated but the rooms appeared old and in need of refurbishment. The room was not very big and the furnishings looked very tired. The television in the room also did not work properly and was crackling and the picture was fuzzy on all of the channels.

Couldn't have asked for moreThis was a typical 'last minute' trip, where location was the over-riding requirement, followed closely by value for money. This hotel more than lived up to expectations - nothing exceptional as far as the room goes, but everything else about the establishment was pleasantly better than average. Highlight of the stay was the breakfast - top marks and set us up for the day. Minor Niggles were confined to a full car park (they were hosting a weekend event), and one member of staff who was clearly not having a good day and perhaps let it show a little. Wouldn't hessitate to return.

Short BreakI had to amend the booking with the hotel as we were no longer able to stay for the 2 nights but they were very helpful. Nice hotel a short walk from the centre but off the busiest streets. Ample parking but charged at £2 per night and barriered to stop unauthorised visitors.

Hotel was recently refurbished and staff were very friendly and helpful. We actually got a suite when we only booked an en suite room which was a very pleasent surprise.Would definitely use this hotel again

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room hadn't been cleaned by check in time but was allowed to leave our belongings in the room and head off to the beach which was only a short walk away. The food was excellent together with the service. Breakfast excellent. Room very spacious and was lucky to have the only two adjoining family rooms. Couldn't use the key to lock one of the rooms but as we had adjoining we could lock from the inside and use the other door.Enjoyable stay

Very small single room in serious need of T.L.C. may have been nice 25 years ago. The room was clean, but that was the only good point.Breakfast was superb. Very good choice and quality.

Decent hotelThe hotel is absolutely fine, very clean, good breakfast, excellent location and good price. Nothing outstanding about it, but a very good choice for a weekend break. We didn't explore the leisure facilities - which are in a separate building - so cannot comment.

Needs money spent on it!Pleasant staff and generally a bright and clean hotel. Room let it down as it was very small with tatty furniture and the double bed took up so much space. The room should really be for single occupancy. Leisure pool was poor. It was dirty around the edges of the vinyl walls (not tiles). It looked as if it could have done with a good refurbishment. Our stay was not worth more than the £65.00 that we paid. If I was to stay again in Bournemouth I would try somewhere else.

RoomThe room was very small which was OK for just one night, but the walls very very thin and we could hear the person in the next room snoring which was not good! It would seem the beds were against the same wall which was not ideal. Bed was not comfortable either but again was OK for one night. If we had been staying any longer would have asked to be moved.

Good value hotel for 1 night stayI booked a single bedded room for a 1 night stay for business. The room was small but with a 3/4 size bed which was a nice suprise, the room had everything I needed including a desk to be able to work and was clean.I orded room service for dinner and breakfast, again I was pleasantly suprised by the quality and speed I received it.Overall a good value hotel.

Short stay in BournemouthWe have stayed at this hotel in the past and, as usual, were very pleased with the service, cleanliness of the room and pool and the friendliness of the staff. We shall certainly stay there again in the future.

Good value accommodation with considerate customer service and facilitiesI found the hotel very good value for money. It was confortable and convenient to accessing other places in the Bournmouth area. The breakfast had a wide selection and catered for all tastes and preferences. The room was comfortable and clean. It is difficult to fault the whole service.

Nice room shame about the foodThe room was nicely equipped, although the wi-fi (free) signal was very weak and kept dropping off. However, the good quality room and public room decor were seriously let down by the very poor food: the evening meal I had was shocking: all pre-packed and pre-frozen, and even then they managed to overcook the main course beyond recognition. The waitress was charming but obviously very inexperienced (didn't ask for a drinks order, didn't check which veg option I wanted, and her English was also a bit patchy). I've stayed here many times but never eaten here, I know why now! The breakfast was also average: the cooked breakfast buffet had only been out for an hour, but was dried up and not pleasant

The outside of the hotel is confusing as the hotel for some strange reason has been given two names on different welcome boards. The reception staff were frendly and polite, and the standard of the hotel generally good. what let it down for me was the standard of what can only be dicrbed as my box room. my room was situated next to an overflow pipe which poured all night on to flat roof. also the facilities in the room were poor with a tv situated around 6 foot high on a wall with a very poor picture quality. The hotel reception staff didnt know how to credit my \"Best Western\" card. Food was good as was breakfast.

My wife and I have just had a most pleasurable 3 night stay at this very friendly hotel. The staff could not be faulted, the room was clean and airy and the food was very good, particularly the breakfast. Excellent value for money through the Laterooms deal.

Hotel Royale was a good choice! The Hotel Royale (called the Anglo-Swiss Hotel until only a couple of weeks ago) was an excellent choice for our first visit to Bournemouth. My wife picked it from many others on the Laterooms web-site and we were not disappointed, especially considering the room rate (£65 for the room, including full English breakfast for us both). It is in a quiet position on the East Cliff and an easy walk (three minutes) to the promenade and no more than 20 - 25 minutes, along the prom, into the town centre. Car parking is charged at £2 per 24 hours and the hotel was happy for us to leave the car there, after we had checked out, whilst we went for a 2-hour walk. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. Not the largest hotel room we've stayed in, but perfectly adequate. Large, thick bath towels, shower gel, well-stocked tea and coffee tray with biscuits, flat-screen t.v. and plenty of drawer space. Only five hangers in the wardrobe - okay for a one-night stay, but not enough for longer. We were on the third (top) floor and I think this may have contributed to the lack of water pressure for the shower and wash-basin, but we managed! Not bad enough to formally complain about, but they assured me it would be \"looked into\" when I mentioned it on checking out. However, I should think it is a problem for the top floor - and it was not related to the heavy demand for water in the morning - it was the same all the time.Dinner was very good - plenty of choice on the menu - reasonable prices - large portions, quickly and efficiently served by friendly staff.Breakfast was included in the room-rate (shown as £9-95 per person on the menu) and was hot, tasty and plentiful - and the sausages weren't those horrible \"catering\" sausages often found in hotels!. Fresh pineapple included in the cold selection, as well as Danish pastries.Overall, a good \"three-star\" hotel and excellent value for money. If we had been there longer, we would have sampled the sw
