Rained off tennisUsed this hotel as a base to watch Liverpool Tennis Tournament but didn't see any tennis - it rained all day! But the hotel was excellent - ideally situated opposite Sefton Park which is beautiful. Room was excellent - clean and sufficient for what we needed. Showing a little wear but aren't we all?? Breakfast was excellent and the staff were pleasant, polite and helpful. Didn't try the restaurant as we went out to explore on the evenings. Turn right out of the hotel then first right into Lark Lane. There are loads of restaurants and bars - enough variety to satisfy any one! We dined at Pistachio on the first night - excellent food and great service. Two courses £12.95 but well worth is! Didn't dine out the second night - had our fill at the hospitality at the tennis!! But was very interested to try the Turkish barbecue restaurant - far end of the street. Was recommended by both taxi drivers we used!! Will try it next time!We will be back!!!

Good value for money, cleanThe room was very clean and well presented, with a very large, lovely bathroom. The room was small, but enough space for two people for one night. The little customer service we encountered was good and helpful.

my partner and i were made to feel very welcome, the staff were all friendly and accomadating, The night porter makes a lovely cuppa!The assistant Manager was extremely helpfull even though he was a very busy man organising a wedding and christening. Nothing was too much trouble and he always had a smile and was cheerfull.

The staff were absolutely amazing, so warm and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The room was a little small, but then we were only using it as a place to sleep, so it was ample. We didn't sample the evening menu, but breakfast was good and plentiful - could not have asked for more!

Return VisitAs a favourite hotel of mine in Liverpool, shall be looking out for any special deals, as it's not a cheap stay when I visit my son @ the University of Liverpool.However I love the atmosphere of this hotel. Good standard of cleanliness and bed linen.Special thanks for reserving the parking space, greatly appreciated. after a long drive from the Westcountry.Friendly, articulate and polite staff.

The room provided for late rooms was inferior to that in the rest of the hotel and I cannot imagine that the savings suggested were genuine. However it was well situated and the food was good.

Good value in pleasant settingThe hotel is situated on the edge of Sefton Park and the Executive room we occupied had views across the park. The room was clean and well appointed and was good value for money without being luxurious.Staff were positive and helpful and the dining room is in a conservatory that again has excellent views. There is a small but attractive garden at the rear of the lounge that we enjoyed as the weather was good.The hotel is only a short drive from the city centre but, for us, it was certainly preferable to having to worry about city centre driving and parking.Overall it was a pleasant experience and the standards were good for the price paid. We would certainly stay there again.

Very enjoyableExcellent hotel. modern fittings. Will definitely stay again.Small issue (woman upstairs left her bath running, ended up coming into our bathroom), hotel management sorted it out straight away no fuss. sorted us another room and gave us complimentary breakfasts for the trouble.Very happy with the place.

Good value but noisyThe hotel was fine and good value for money. But, it was spoilt by the noise made by other guests getting up early to catch flights and being completely inconsiderate. Also, there were a number of things in the room that did not work, e.g. TV and mirror lights. These should be routinely checked by room service.

great valuevery comfortable and clean. The quality of the furniture, bath, and overall hotel were very nice and comforting. I would definitely recommend staying here over other more pricey hotels in the area as well as other less costly places as for the extra few dollars were hugely worth it.

Value for money, would stay again but would eat outAccomodation was good value, in nice area opposite park, Room although small was clean and cosy, Shower did go cold a few times, Staff were polite and friendly.My only criticism would be the food, I had breakfast and dinner and although edible i expected more for the cost. I didnt expect to see the same mini size mushrooms and tomatoes at dinner and breakfast and both desserts ordered were in the same moulded shape although different options chossen, some items were also overcooked/ burnt.I would recommend but suggest guests eat out.

Overnight nbusines BnBI arrived late, and parked in the secure parking area. My room was a bit small but I only intended to sleep in it. I used the radio rather than the TV. The shower was fairly low powered but acceptable. The waitress found a decent glass of sauvignon blanc in the cellar for me as the bar had run out.Breakfast was great, and the bill at only £69 was good value. My meeting was across Sefton Park so a leisurely start to the day.Would stay again

A bit too much£66,60 is a bit much for a hotel so far from the city centre!We had stated that we would arrive at 1300 but that didn't matter as we couldn't check in before 1400, so why can you give your time of arrival?OK, we had to live with that and asked for the nearest bus to the city centre and was given direction to a bus stop which service a bus not going near the city centre, so had to walk for another one 10 min away.Room was clean but a stupidity to leave heating on fullwhile cleaning and the window open, I.e. heat would have escaped from 1400 to 1930 when we came back to check in.Bed was too big for the room or the room too small. Wouldn't like to get caught in there during a fire at night, would get lost.We never found the stairs down to the reception even though signs said they were there.
