This hotel had a great location for the money, only one block off the Seawall. Pool was in great shape, very clean. Only complaint would be that the laundry room was outside under the stairwell. Outside was very rusty. Don't think I'd want to wash good clothes there since don't know what the inside of the washer or dryer might do to them, but for beach towels, etc. it was sufficient.

I thought the room was well maintained. I was satisfied with the cleanliness. The only thing I didn't like was the continental breakfast. There were no choices. No cerreal, no toast no fruit, no milk, no variety of pastries. They need to improve on this. It was close to the seawall. It wasn't too far from Moody Gardens. We had a good experience here.

Best Value hotel, A very comfortable & quiet place to stay.The rooms are very spacious and housekeeping keep up. The best features of this hotel is the location.BV is second from Moody Gardens,Waterpark and and the beach.Its also located near all types store& shops.And there all walking distance its a most see!!!!!!!!!!! I'll BE BACK!!!!!!

The only thing good about this hotel was that we were able to leave our car for the cruise that we were taking. Also that it didn't require a 2 night minimum. I would not recommend this hotel. The room was dirty, floor (carpet) was sticky, tub dirty,

Although the room was comfortable and clean, I was not pleased with my stay at this hotel. I was bothered when on our first morning there was a knock on the door around 9 AM asking if I was going to need the room cleaned. First of all, if I'm on vacation, I think I should be allowed to sleep in. I was awake but nowhere ready to leave the room. When I said so, the cleaning person frowned and told me that she would be back in 30 minutes to pick up the room. Since when are guests told when they need to be up and out of the room by a specific time to get the room cleaned? I was also disappointed when the front desk personnel was unable to provide any dining information. There was no local information in the room to help us determine where to eat or anything, not even a phone book! The breakfast consisted of stale danish, coffee and a fruit flavored drink, not juice.

This hotel needs a lot of work!! First of all one of the other reviews said you can see the water from the rooms on the back side of the hotel. Well I suppose you may be able to see a small fraction of a sliver of water if look real hard while standing on the railing. But other than that...not so much!! On top of that, there is not one single smoking room at all on the back side of the hotel. Only on the front side. We opted for the luxury upgrade to a suite. Basically the took the second bed out of a double queen room and replaced it with a really cheap couch and a desk. There were loose pieces of trim hanging off of the couch. The room had numerous scratched dented and dinged spots in the walls and the trim pieces. The refrigerator never really got anything cold. The microwave had to be cleaned before we could make our popcorn in it. The basic cable is just that...VERY BASIC!!! Just the network channels and one HBO channel. The TV reception was terrible!!! Snowy and blurry were the rule of the day. Whenever anyone in our room or the neighbors room walked across the room the vibrations would make the TV picture cut in and out with every step. There is no closet in this suite. Only a small hanging rack in the bathroom area...but you can only use it if you bring you own hangers. Not a single hanger was provided. The pool was very highly chlorinated to the point of burning you nostrils whenever you got near the pool area. The pool itself is only about 15 feet by 20 feet. Very, very small. No breakfast was provided on Sunday morning. The railing was loose on the stairwell. The cost was pretty high for the amount of quality we recieved during our stay. I can assure you, I will look elsewhere for lodging next time we go!!

Just a clean hotel room at a reasonable price. Nothing special.Only complaint was there was no wwireless internet had to use data cable.
