Rooms were very nice and clean. All 1st floor. I was towing a U-haul trailer and they even had special truck parking right next door. I needed to shop for a few personal items and there was a big mall and a smaller mall with a Super Wal-mart and Kroger's. One stop shopping I guess you could say. Hotel staff was very friendly and nice. I had my dog with me and they are even a pet friendly motel which is hard to find anymore. Overall, everything was great and would definitely recommend this motel to anyone. Value-priced too.

The motel is very bright, clean, and easy access from I 70 which we found on Mapquest..then the Staff gave us a print out of directions to Wheeling Island Casino which was only 5 mi away, easy to follow, and motel is beside the Ohio Mall and Cracker Barrel, many other great places. Quiet and more private than the bigger chain hotels and much more reasonable so we could enjoy a concert as well as sleep over for the price of one night a the bigger motels!

Friendly Staff. The shower slowly drained and filled up. Slightly on the dirty side.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I will definitely go back next year while on vacation. The price was right, I parked in front of my door. The pool was very clean and nice. It is close to shopping and restaurants. We took our dog on vacation with us this time and this place is even pet friendly. The rooms were clean and there was even a refrigerator in our room. There was even a bowling alley and a putt putt golf course near the motel. We really enjoyed our stay there. The front desk was very friendly and acommodating.

The hotel room was clean. The bed was hard like sleeping on a rock. Great short one night trip with jacuzzi in the room.

We decided to stop about 9:00 at night and checked out the "big name" hotel next door. Often when you go to a hotel that late and they have a room, they will rent it to you at a very good rate. Hotel management figures that as long as they cover the cost of the maid service and utilities for the night, even a deeply discounted rate will make them more than not renting the room at all. But the Name Brand hotel's desk clerk wasn't even willing to offer one penny off the rack rate, so we went next-door to this property and saved 60%. This motel used to be a Knights Inn. For those not familiar with these motels, they are generally made from prefab mobile home like sections stacked one against the other. Rough cut wood trim and local rock walls hide the seams between units. Side walls are double 2 by 4's with insulation, so very little sound comes in through the walls. But after 30+ years, doors and windows no longer fit well and let some sound in. Overall, the motel feels like you are staying in a piece of old particle board furniture, warped and showing some wear. The mobile home manufacture was quite specific on location, layout, and landscaping for all their motel and apartment units it sold. This shows after 30 years, the landscaping still looks good - better than most high end hotels. Our room was okay -- but nothing fancy. There is a small pool which looked nice, but has very limited hours so unless you get in early or stay late, you cannot use it. The day we left, two men were spraying for bugs(?) and did not seem too attentive to not spraying cars of personnal items.

Decent rooms at decent prices. Plenty of room for everyone. Great access to I70 and many nice restaurants. Ohio Valley Mall very close. Decor is a little dated, but did not notice it while sleeping. Would recommend to folks looking to save money.

Very efficient and friendly. Distance I had to walk to the lobby. Very economical: had adequate room for four large adults, great service, and great location. Also a very clean and safe room.

We stayed in this hotel last year and it was horrible! Just plain dirty, tiny little pool that wasn't all that clean, filthy on the outside. I didn't even want to take a shower for fear I would be dirtier coming out of the shower. The pictures don't do this place justice, it is MUCH worse! It was the only available place to stay when we went to the area but be mindful of pricing, there are some hotels in the area that are cheaper and so much cleaner than this one. By the way, if you are a frequent traveler you'll understand this, when you turn on the air cond. and go to bed in this hotel, you wake up with that stuffy nose puffy eye feeling, makes you wonder what's in those A/C units.... Also, the staff was not at all sympathetic with our concerns about the hotel we were staying at versus the one in the pictures on the site.

A good, clean, quiet place to spend the night. Good value for the area. Nothing fancy, though there is an in-room refrigerator. All rooms have exterior doors on ground level for easy unloading/loading. We will definitely stay again. Friendly staff; asked how our stay was.

The Americas Best Value Inn in St. Clairsville, OH was a very nice place for the price. There was a cafeteria about 1/2 mile away that had great food for a fair price. My wife enjoyed going to the mall which was about 2 miles away. The bathroom (bath tub and toliet) was in separate from the vanity. There was also adequate counter space.

The price was affordable and the rooms mostly clean. The most important thing was that towels and sheets were clean. The towel bar was falling off and screws were loose in the bathroom. Minor fixes that need to be addressed. If you are looking for a clean place to lay your head at night and you are not a picky traveler this is a hotel that is easy on your wallet and decent place to stay a night.

We normally choose to stay at three star hotels. We only stayed at this hotel because of the rave reviews of two other people. When we arrived, we realized that we had stayed here before when it was a Knight's Inn and vowed never to return. The people were pleasant and there was not the loud noises of the motorcycle gangs we experienced before. The cont. breakfast was very basic- we didn't use it, The basic structures were as before, thin walls and rustic construction. The room WAS clean. This should be ONE star.

This is definitely a motel, but not in a negative way. The staff was very friendly, property was well kept. The accomodations were simple but very satisfactory. Did not get a chance to use the pool but it also appeared to very well kept and an inviting area. Our stay was quiet and restful. I would highly recommend this to those who are looking for a real value. We plan to stay here when visiting family again.

Room was very clean. Outside was not very appealing. Room was very clean, outside was not as expected. A little nervous when we got there. But the inside of the room was nice.

Affordable, pool, within driving distance to shopping. A little off main roadway. The night we stayed the power was off in part of the area, our area was one of them. Rooms were off from parking lot some noise - squealing tires, racing motors etc. We were just there at a bad time with no electric , TV, lights etc for a period of time. Under normal times this would be a nice convenient place to stay with basic needs.

"We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the room. The price was very reasonable. Staff were friendly and efficient. I would, however, like to see a coffee pot, hair dryer & iron in the room."

Location and pool and price. A little older and the key entry. Nice hotel for the price, would stay again. Really nice pool, friendly staff. Nice size room. Older motel but great location and better priced.
